BLAST Open London

The first stage of the BLAST Open London 2025 Counter-Strike 2 tournament will be held online before the LAN stage in London, England.

Scheduled to take place on August 27 – September 7, the BLAST Open London 2025 will be the second BLAST Open tournament of the season and the first CS2 event succeeding the Esports World Cup 2025.

Originally planned to be played entirely on LAN, BLAST Open London 2025 will now be divided into an online and LAN stage, with the latter held at OVO Arena Wembley in London.

BLAST have not commented why they removed LAN play for the group stage and implemented format changes from their first Open event of the year.

The BLAST Open Spring 2025, which concluded in March, did not have an online stage. Instead, it hosted the group stage at BLAST Studios in Copenhagen, while the playoff stage moved to MEO Arena in Lisbon.

As a result of the change, the first stage of BLAST Open London 2025 essentially became closed qualifiers, where the teams will compete for six spots in the LAN Finals.

BLAST Open London 2025 is scheduled to kick off on August 27, featuring 16 Counter-Strike 2 teams, seeded into two double-elimination groups.

All games will be best-of-three, with the top three teams from each group advancing to LAN Finals.

The LAN stage will begin on September 5, four days after the conclusion of the first stage, placing the remaining six teams into a single-elimination bracket.

Two group stage winners will receive a direct bye to the semifinals, while the remaining four will start their BLAST Open London 2025 title campaign in the quarterfinals.

The quarterfinals and semifinals are best-of-three, and the grand final will be played as best-of-five.

Of the 16 participating teams at BLAST Open London 2025, 12 will receive invites based on their position in the Valve Regional Standings (VRS) after the July 25 update.

The remaining four invites will be handed to champions of BLAST Rising tournaments in Europe, North America, South America, and Asia – all ending on August 3.

The LAN stage will have a $330,000 prize pool, whereas the qualifiers will offer $70,000, divided among fifth-16th-placed teams
