DN SOOPers’ losing streak extended to 15 games on Sunday, when they lost to Gen.G. With that defeat, DNS further solidified their status as the weakest team in the league, although there have been slightly stronger early-game signs in recent matches.
That alone is not enough to inspire much confidence. DN SOOPers still struggle to turn early moments into anything meaningful, and once games move into the mid stage, they have rarely looked capable of keeping up.
Nongshim RedForce have managed just four wins this season, but they have been playing much better lately. They pushed T1 in Week 7 and took maps off KT Rolster and Hanwha Life Esports last week.
In the latter series, RedForce showed they can play with pace and make it work. They were still a bit loose, which created cracks in the mid-late game, but the overall performance was promising.
Nongshim RedForce are clear favourites on the top LoL bookmakers, and that sounds fair. They have their own issues, but DNS have shown very little to suggest they can take a map, let alone the series.

KT Rolster defeated T1 on the opening day of LCK Rounds 1-2, but they are not expected to be as successful in the rematch. KT went on a strong run early in the split, only to cool down in recent weeks with four losses across their last eight games.
It appears as if KT Rolster have been figured out. Their passive, scaling-heavy approach was always going to be punished eventually, and it has happened even against weaker opponents like Kiwoom DRX and Nongshim RedForce, who both found early-game openings.
That is a problem heading into a clash with T1, one of the strongest early-game teams in the LCK. T1 have been on fire lately, especially in lane, and have secured first blood in most of their last five outings.
Their mid-late game has also improved. T1 look more stable, more confident, and much more efficient when playing with leads than they did earlier in the split.
While KT are slowing down and getting figured out, T1 are moving closer to their full potential. This is a perfect revenge spot for the reigning world champions, who should be able to avenge their Week 1 defeat in convincing fashion.
