TSM v FlyQuest LCS Championship betting picks – 25/8/2022

TSM and FlyQuest will clash in the first round of the LCS 2022 Championship lower bracket on Thursday, August 25.

FlyQuest dropped down to the LCS 2022 Championship lower bracket when they lost against Team Liquid (1-3) last Saturday in the opening fixture of the playoffs. FlyQuest played well, and they deserve some recognition for their performance, but they were ultimately outmatched by a superior team.

Their next opponents, TSM, should offer far less resistance than Liquid, but that doesn’t necessarily mean that FlyQuest are in for an easy series. On the contrary, this match could be much closer than expected.

TSM are not the powerhouse they once were, but they have some solid pieces, namely their jungler Mingyi “Spica” Lu. The mid-bot is a problem, though, and it’s hard to imagine TSM doing well in those lanes, knowing how poorly those matchups went in their last meeting with FlyQuest a couple of weeks back.

Despite all that, TSM have a realistic chance of winning or at least forcing a tight series, mainly because Spica is a beast in playoffs and can secure his team a map or two on his own. From there, it will come down to how well TSM will play as a unit or whether FlyQuest will slip. There are a lot of possible scenarios, but a 3-2 victory for FlyQuest is a tempting bet.
