PGL Masters Bucharest 2026 Teams to Watch
Team Spirit
Team Spirit should be seen as favorites to win PGL Masters Bucharest 2026, with Team Falcons not attending and Team Vitality having roster issues. However, there are some questions about Spirit’s form, as they have slowed down in recent weeks.
Spirit are 2-4 from the last six games, having lost to MOUZ (twice), 1w Team, and Aurora Gaming at ESL Pro League Season 24, which indicates a decline in their form.
Despite showing some cracks, this is a roster that knows how to win trophies and deliver in clutch moments, so it is fair to expect them to make a deep run.
Team Vitality
Team Vitality will miss Dan “apEX” Madesclaire for this tournament and instead play with Justinas “jL” Lekavičius. Qualitatively, jL is a great player, but missing your in-game leader for one of the biggest events of the year is not optimal.
This situation comes at a time when Team Vitality have started to ramp up, winning the last two tournaments in StarLadder StarSeries Fall and ESL Pro League Season 24. With the players Vitality have, a playoff run is expected. But going all the way will not be an easy task.
MOUZ
MOUZ have been having a solid season so far. They’ve been regularly placing in the top eight in their competitive endeavors, missing out on that accomplishment only twice. In the last two months, MOUZ have shown good results, with a fifth-sixth place finish at StarLadder StarSeries and two runner-up finishes at BLAST Open Fall and ESL Pro League Season 24.
In the two events, MOUZ lost the grand finals against Team Spirit and Team Vitality, who will be the main threat to MOUZ’s title hopes in Romania. However, they’ve gone back-and-forth with Spirit of late, and with Vitality weakened, MOUZ are in a great spot to reach for the stars.
Aurora Gaming
Aurora Gaming have been ramping up and are fresh off a third-place finish at the Thunderpick World Championship. It marked their third consecutive podium finish, after securing third place at ESL Pro League Season 24 and a silver medal at StarLadder StarSeries Fall.
Over the last three tournaments, Aurora Gaming have shown they can hang with the best. However, the level of opposition at PGL Masters Bucharest will be higher, raising a massive question mark over Aurora and their chances of another top-three run.
FURIA
FURIA will be expected to reach the playoffs in Bucharest, after winning the Thunderpick World Championship. It was their only second notable tournament run since August, as FURIA have failed to reach the level many expected of them.
As shown before, FURIA can be very momentum-driven, and considering they travel to Romania with their wheels spinning and in solid shape, a strong performance is not entirely unlikely. First, however, FURIA have to prove they can perform against some of the world’s best teams – something they’ve failed since the Cologne Major.
Legacy
Legacy’s European trip continues at PGL Masters Bucharest, marking their sixth S-Tier tournament since the Intel Extreme Masters Cologne Major. Over that stretch, Legacy have made some noise by placing third at the Esports World Cup and first in FISSURE Playground #3.
However, their form has tanked in October, with a 12th-14th place finish at ESL Pro League Season 24 and fifth-sixth at Thunderpick World Championship.
The key to success and picking up upset wins for Legacy is getting Andrei “arT” Piovezan back into shape. However, if that happens, the Brazilians could surprise many.
Natus Vincere
PGL Masters Bucharest is a very important tournament for Natus Vincere, who have yet to accumulate enough points to qualify for the PGL Singapore Major. While winning the event in their current form is unlikely, NAVI will want to accumulate as many wins as possible, which should be their main goal heading to Romania.
Even though Natus Vincere have looked better of late, forcing a few of three-map series against Team Vitality, MOUZ, and Team Falcons in the last month, they are not at the level needed to contest the biggest trophies.
PGL Masters Bucharest 2026 Predictions
Outright Bet – MOUZ To Win
With Team Falcons out of the picture for PGL Masters Bucharest 2026, Team Vitality missing their in-game leader, and with a strong head-to-head record against Team Spirit, MOUZ become an increasingly more appealing pick to win the tournament.
They’ve been in great shape this year, especially in the last few months. While MOUZ have become known to choke in the grand finals, having lost their last two, those defeats came against Spirit, who MOUZ have since beaten twice, and against Vitality, who are not as potent ahead of their trip to Romania.
As long as MOUZ can handle Spirit once more, they should have a straightforward path to the top.
