3DMAX have replaced Ex3rcice with Kursy after a difficult CS2 run that included missing IEM Cologne Major and slipping in the VRS.

Pierre “Ex3rcice” Bulinge was benched from the 3DMAX active Counter-Strike 2 roster on Wednesday, June 24, ending his 31-month stay with the team.
The 26-year-old joined 3DMAX in November 2023, when the French team signed the Looking4Org roster, formerly DBL PONEY and HEET.
Since joining 3DMAX, Ex3rcice has averaged a 1.03 performance rating over 640 maps played.
Notably, the French player helped 3DMAX achieve several strong tournament placements last year, including quarterfinal runs at PGL Bucharest and the Esports World Cup, as well as a gold medal at CS Asia Championships 2025.
This season, however, has been far less lucrative for 3DMAX, who have struggled to leave a lasting mark in bigger events.
After a slow start to the season, with early eliminations from BLAST Bounty Winter, Intel Extreme Masters Krakow, PGL Cluj-Napoca, and ESL Pro League Season 23, 3DMAX made a splash with a fourth-place finish at PGL Bucharest.
However, they soon returned to their old ways, with a ninth-12th-place finish at IEM Rio, 13th-16th at CS Asia Championships, and, more recently, seventh-eighth at Stake Ranked Episode 2.
Ex3rcice’s departure comes in the aftermath of a rough period for 3DMAX, who missed out on IEM Cologne Major and are currently ranked 30th in the Valve Regional Standings.
In Ex3rcice’s place, 3DMAX will field former GamerLegion sniper Jeremy “Kursy” Gast, who finalises the lineup ahead of the team’s next competitive endeavour, XSE Pro League.
Despite playing as an AWPer in his former team, Kursy will take over the rifling position due to Bryan “Maka” Canda already being a dedicated AWPer.
The Chinese CS2 tournament will offer a US$500,000 prize pool and feature 16 teams, including PARIVISION, Monte, B8, 9z Team, FaZe Clan, and BetBoom Team as some of the main title contenders.
3DMAX’s first game of the tournament, on July 1, will be against Ninjas in Pyjamas, who the top CS2 bookmakers have listed as -161.29 favourites.
