The League of Legends European Championships (LEC) Finals weekend started off with two core rivals, G2 Esports and Fnatic going head-to-head for a Final spot against the Rogue.

The match-up was held in Berlin, Germany, with a regulated live audience to experience the showdown.

Fnatic were favorites with esports betting sites to win the best of five series against G2 Esports.

Largely due to the good run Fnatic had in the regular season, recording 13 wins and five losses, only behind Rogue; who had a win more.

G2, on the other hand, finished the regular season with 33 points, having secured 11 victories, with seven losses.

Also considered is the victory they had earlier claimed over G2 in the first round of the winner’s bracket.

The game ended with Fnatic comfortably defeating their Spanish counterparts by a 3-1 result, enforcing their superiority. And as such, it was a no-brainer to side with the English organization.

To the amazement of most fans, G2 Esports won by a clean sweep, sealing off the game in the first three of five series.

They ended Fnatic’s playoff run and relegated them to third place while they plant their mind on becoming the LEC 2022 Spring champions.

Of the series of three, Game 3 proved to be the closest of all other games. Fnatic secured Baron Nashor after winning a team fight. But G2 reciprocated the gesture and went on to bully the English side.

Flakked and Rasmus ‘caPs’ Winther had good games, making several key kills in Game 2. Having stayed away from Twisted Fate, the former Mad Lions mid laner who now plays for Fnatic as of January 1, 2022; Marek “Humanoid” Brázda didn’t find Kai’sa to be a walk in the park.

Marcin ‘Jankos’ Jankowski was vital to the team in Game 1, he was the biggest win factor for the organization, winning some important kills early on in the game.

Fnatic continues to underperform playing Twisted Fate, having fallen prey to Rogue a week ago playing the TF composition. They lost 2-3 to Rogue and do not seem to have learned their lesson.

The win guarantees Victor ‘Flakked’ Lirola and his teammates a seat at the League Of Legends European Championships 2022 Spring Split Finals on Sunday.

In the Finals, they will be taking on the best team of the regular season, Rogue.
