Rimuru and BerserX have left Team Secret as the VCT Pacific side look to rebuild before their Stage 2 opener against VARREL.

On Monday, July 13, Team Secret announced the departure of Dwine “Rimuru” Gatchalian Enriquez and Rizkie “BerserX” Adla Kusuma, who leave the roster just days before the start of VALORANT Champions Tour Stage 2.
BerserX joined Team Secret from BOOM Esports in December, ahead of the 2026 season, as part of a major roster overhaul Secret initiated following a disappointing 2025 campaign.
However, even with a new lineup, things did not improve early this year, as Team Secret crashed out of VCT Pacific Kickoff in last place.
The disappointment ushered in more changes and the arrival of Rimuru, who joined the roster as a promising up-and-coming player.
Having only started his VALORANT career in January, Rimuru had very little experience in a competitive setting, having attended two Challengers regional events before entering the VCT.
As Kim “TenTen” Tae-young’s replacement, Rimuru had big shoes to fill, but failed to adjust to the new environment and struggled in his debut split in Pacific’s top flight.
The 19-year-old ended VCT Pacific Stage 1 with the league’s lowest performance rating at 0.67, failing to help Secret break into the playoffs as the team ended the stage in ninth-10th place with a 1-4 record.
Due to his subpar individual showings, Rimuru was replaced by Jhian “Zeus” Vega in late March and has been out of action ever since, also missing the Esports World Cup 2026 Pacific Qualifier.
While Rimuru’s poor individual performances suggested his departure was on the horizon, Secret removing BerserX was on no one’s bingo card.
However, given the team’s struggles this season, another major overhaul was always likely to happen.
Throughout the 2026 season, Team Secret have recorded just two victories, both against Gen.G in VCT Pacific Stage 1 and in the first round of the EWC Pacific Qualifiers.
With a 1-7 record in VCT, however, Team Secret need a massive turnaround if they wish to qualify for the season-ending VALORANT Champions and make a run for a top-two finish in Stage 2, beating the likes of Nongshim RedForce, T1, DRX, and Paper Rex.
Before that, Team Secret have to fill the missing gaps with two new players and a new coach, following the departure of Jose “Rbtx” Jamir at the end of June.
Secret have just three days to finalise their roster ahead of their first game of VCT Pacific Stage 2 on Thursday, July 16, when they face VARREL.
According to the top-rated VALORANT bookmakers, Team Secret are the biggest outsiders to win the league, priced at +10000, giving them a 1% chance of making a run for the trophy.
