FlyQuest bench Romanian AWPer Regali after a year on the roster, opening a key slot ahead of the 2026 CS2 season. The move signals a broader rebuild.

On Sunday, January 4, FlyQuest announced the benching of Iulian “regali” Harjău, who steps away from the active Counter-Strike 2 roster and is available to be picked up by other teams.
Regali joined FlyQuest in December 2024 and has been a part of the active roster for the last year.
His arrival was one of many changes the Australian team made in a bid to find success at the highest level.
However, despite freshening up the roster, FlyQuest have failed to leave a lasting mark in the upper echelons of competitive CS.
Since joining FlyQuest, regali has averaged a 1.11 performance rating, but failed to lead the team to big trophies.
FlyQuest’s only title run of 2025 came in August, when they won BLAST Asia Risings Ulaanbaatar and qualified for BLAST Open Fall, where they placed ninth-12th.
Their other notable placement came at the Asian Champions League, where FlyQuest won a bronze medal.
Regali’s final tournament appearance with FlyQuest came at StarLadder Budapest Major, where the Oceanic titans made it through Stage 1 with wins against Legacy, Imperial Esports, and Fluxo.
However, they failed to secure a single victory in Stage 2, losing to Natus Vincere, 3DMAX, and Astralis, thus placing 23rd-24th.
The Romanian AWPer is the first player to leave FlyQuest ahead of the 2026 season.
While the team have yet to reveal who will step into his shoes, regali is expected to be replaced by João “story” Vieira.
The Portuguese sniper left SAW on Saturday, along with the entire roster, with the core acquired by BC.Game Esports.
FlyQuest are not confirmed to attend any tournaments in the coming weeks, having failed to secure a spot in the season opener – BLAST Bounty Winter 2026.
