HAJIN BRION likely do not need to win this game, but another strong performance against an elite team would be a fitting way to end the split.
They have done it before, although BRION have come back down a little recently. Losses to Kiwoom DRX and Dplus KIA ended their five-game winning streak and slowed some of the momentum they had built across the back half of the regular season.
Hanwha Life Esports are the better team and are rightly viewed as heavy favourites. However, HLE have been showing serious cracks lately, especially when opponents force them into faster, more aggressive early games.
That was clear last week, when Nongshim RedForce outmuscled them on the first map and HLE struggled to respond to the tempo. It gave the rest of the league a clear blueprint for how to attack them.
BRION are not incapable of playing a more early-oriented style, and with side choice, they should have enough tools to make this competitive. Hanwha Life should win the series, but BRION are live to take one map.

This match is essentially meaningless for both teams. Dplus KIA are locked in fifth place, while Nongshim RedForce can no longer finish above the cutoff line after winning just five of their first 17 games.
Usually, that does not mean much in the LCK, where teams tend to remain professional and rarely take their foot off the gas just because there is nothing to gain. Still, these situations can lead to looser games with less pressure on the players.
The key question is whether that gives RedForce a realistic chance to cause an upset. Priced at +175 on the top LoL bookmakers and with side choice, RedForce are at least an appealing outsider after showing signs of life against Hanwha Life Esports last week.
On the day, RedForce proved they can play with tempo, which could be a useful way to shake up Dplus KIA. DK are still the better team, but this is not a spot where they need to reveal too much or force anything ahead of the next stage.
An upset can happen, but the safer angle is expecting this to turn into a competitive three-map series.
