Weibo Gaming have finalized their League of Legends roster on Thursday, December 4, with the signing of jungler Zhao “Jiejie” Li-Jie and top laner Tang “Zika” Hua-Yu.
Just one day after announcing the arrivals of ADC Zhao “Elk” Jiahao and support Shi “Erha” Xunye, Weibo Gaming have now completed their LoL Pro League (LPL) roster for the 2026 season. And it shaped up to be one of the most exciting in the league.
Taking over the top lane position is Zika, who joins WBG from LNG Esports, where he has spent three years.
During that stint, the 22-year-old has won two LPL Regional Finals and qualified for the LoL World Championship in 2023 and 2024, reaching top-eight in both.
His new teammate, JieJie started his professional career with EDward Gaming in 2019, with whom he hoisted the Summoner’s Cup in 2021.
He spent the last season with Invictus Gaming, and despite the team’s lack of success and failure to qualify for any international tournaments, the jungler has proven himself to be one of the best in his position. However, failed to retain his roster spot.
Following a rough start to the year, JieJie was removed from Invictus Gaming in Split 2 and found refuge in FunPlus Phoenix, with whom he ended Split 3 in ninth-12th place.
With a former world champion in the jungle and an experienced top laner joining Weibo Gaming’s roster, the 2023 LoL Worlds finalists have formed a roster of players who have shown flashes of greatness throughout their careers and are hungry to prove their worth to the world.
And while many of the LPL teams have bolstered their lineups this offseason, Weibo Gaming’s new project – featuring four new players and mid laner Li “Xiaohu” Yuanhao as the only carryover – has the tools to make noise once the season starts on January 1.
With other teams still assembling their pieces for LPL 2026, the esports betting sites have yet to open outright markets for the next season. Once they do, Weibo Gaming will likely occupy a spot as one of the live outsiders to make a run for the trophy.
