Jungler Seo “Kanavi” Jin-hyeok joined Hanwha Life Esports on Sunday, November 23, officially returning to Korea after spending the last six seasons in the League of Legends Pro League (LPL).

In one of the biggest roster moves of the offseason, Kanavi has become the newest member of Hanwha Life Esports, who
have recently bolstered their lineup with former T1 ADC Lee “Gumayusi” Min-hyung.

This move follows the departure of Han “Peanut” Wang-ho, who retired from pro play to complete his mandatory Korean military service.

However, while Peanut left behind huge shoes to fill, Kanavi is one of the few junglers in the world capable of filling that gap. Kanavi started his esports career in 2019 with the notorious Griffin roster, although he has not featured in a single game.

At the end of the season, Kanavi left to join JD Gaming in the LPL on a loan and eventually extended his stay in China for six years.

Over the five years wearing the JD Gaming jersey, Kanavi has emerged as one of the top junglers in the world, helping the
Chinese team to four LPL trophies, the 2023 Mid-Season Invitational trophy, and two LoL World Championship semifinal
appearances in 2022 and 2023.

Following a rough season in 2024, when JD Gaming failed to qualify for either of the two international tournaments, Kanavi left to join Top Esports.

With his new team, the 25-year-old won LPL Split 1 and the Regional Finals, and ended the season with his third LoL Worlds
semifinals appearance earlier this month.

By joining Hanwha Life Esports, Kanavi now returns to Korea and is set to make his LCK debut on one of the most stacked
teams in the world, featuring some of the top players in their respective roles.

Hanwha Life Esports have established themselves as a clear top-three team in the LCK over the last two years, consistently
challenging the two top dogs in T1 and Gen.G. However, despite showing promise, HLE have often faltered at final hurdles.

This ushered in a very ambitious roster rebuild ahead of the 2026 season, building a roster with top talent who will debut
together at the 2025 KeSPA Cup, kicking off on December 6.
