VP.Prodigy enter the third season of the WePlay Academy League as one of the outsiders, having struggled to place higher than sixth in the first two iterations. However, the Russian squad have since made a couple of roster changes and looked solid on Tuesday against FURIA Academy.

We don’t know what to expect from Spirit Academy, mainly because they have played only five games since the end of November 2021. Admittedly, they had some solid showings last year, but the long break and lack of official games could be a problem.

Spirit Academy are stronger on paper, but the ring rust makes it hard to trust them at the offered CS:GO betting odds. Instead, we like VP.Prodigy with the outsider odds.

MOUZ NXT kicked off WePlay Academy League Season 3 with two wins (16-9, 16-12) against Eternal Fire Academy, but their performance was hardly convincing.

Likewise, we can’t say we are overly excited about FURIA Academy and their showing against VP.Prodigy. But they deserve some slack, largely because the Russian squad seems much stronger than expected.

FURIA Academy were the weakest team in the first two seasons of the WePlay Academy League, and we don’t expect them to do much better this time out. But based on MOUZ NXT’s performance against Eternal Fire Academy, we have to trust the Brazilian squad to do some damage and pick up at least 11 rounds.

FURIA Academy +5.5 rounds
