ONSIDE GAMING had a tough start to VCT Pacific Play-In, facing an improved DRX who handed them a 2-0 loss.
The Challenger squad have since beaten Team Secret in the first round of the lower bracket, although it was not a very one-sided game.
The win against Secret might have given ONSIDE some momentum, but it proves very little, mainly due to how weak Secret have been this stage.
FULL SENSE have not looked very sharp either in the Play-In.
They needed three maps to make it past QT DIG, then got smoked by T1, and edged past Rex Regum Qeon in the lower bracket with 4-13 on Summit, 13-11 on Sunset, and 13-7 on Lotus.
FULL SENSE have been one of the most disappointing teams of VCT Pacific Stage 2, severely underdelivering considering the players they have.
Beating RRQ inspires some confidence, but FULL SENSE continue to lose random rounds and look unstable. A closer game is likely on the cards.
Over 2.5 maps
DetonatioN FocusMe went 3-2 in Group Omega, defeating VARREL, T1, and Team Secret and finishing the group stage on a three-game winning streak.
However, they have not looked as polished in the Play-In.
DFM started the Play-In stage with a 1-2 loss against Sharper Esports, and they needed three maps to make it past QT DIG.
Seeing DetonatioN FocusMe struggle a bit against QT DIG is not too inspiring, but ZETA were not great in their last game either.
After a 2-3 run in the group stage and a 1-2 loss against DRX in the Play-Ins, ZETA DIVISION made it past Xipto Esports on the third map, having dropped Split 9-13.
Moreover, they were not too far from losing Haven, which ended 13-11, either.
Both teams have been unconvincing of late, so while DetonatioN FocusMe have looked stronger over the entire stage, it is hard to make a solid case for them at this price.
Top VALORANT bookmakers have ZETA priced at +150 to win on Saturday, which is an excellent offer.
