G2 Esports are expected to dominate Cloud9 on Saturday and hand them their fourth loss of the stage. Given Cloud9’s poor showing against LOUD last week and the recent roster changes, including the arrivals of Erik “penny” Penny and Jack “Jackk” Foote, it is hard to make much of a case for the underdogs.
Cloud9 have not found much success this stage and have looked underwhelming outside of their upset victory over MIBR in Week 3. Even that result now carries less weight after C9 collapsed against LOUD, losing 1-13 on Lotus, winning 13-8 on Split, and then dropping Breeze 11-13.
G2 Esports have not been as clinical as many expected this stage, but after their early struggles, they have started to look much more like themselves. Their recent wins over LOUD and ENVY were one-sided, and both of those teams sit in a similar range to Cloud9.
This is the kind of matchup G2 should be winning cleanly. Cloud9 are still trying to settle after roster changes, while G2 look sharper, more structured, and far more reliable across the map pool.
Anything less than a 2-0 sweep for G2 Esports would be a disappointing result.

Priced at -1250 on the best VALORANT bookmakers, MIBR are given a 92.6% implied probability of beating ENVY on Saturday, and that number is hard to argue with.
ENVY are already eliminated from the playoff race after their 0-2 loss to G2 Esports, which dropped them to 1-3 for the stage. Their only win came against an unconvincing Cloud9, and outside of that result, they have looked toothless against stronger opposition.
MIBR, on the other hand, are coming off a huge 2-0 sweep of Leviatan. That was an important bounce-back after their loss to Cloud9, and another reminder of how dangerous this team can be when they are switched on.
ENVY can approach this match without any pressure, but that does not really move the needle. They have not shown enough firepower or structure to seriously threaten MIBR, especially with the Brazilians still fighting to finish the regular season strongly.
This is MIBR’s game to lose, and the map handicap is the best way to play the favourites.
