Ninjas in Pyjamas looked very shaky towards the end of the LPL 2026 Split 2 regular season, which puts a sizeable question mark above them and their chances of making it far in the playoffs.
They underdelivered against Team WE in the final match, but in the bigger picture, NiP have already proven they can compete with LPL’s elite. That matters here, especially with EDward Gaming coming across from Group Nirvana.
EDward Gaming were the second-best team in Group Nirvana, sitting a tier above LGD Gaming, ThunderTalk Gaming, Ultra Prime, and Oh My God, but still not quite at LNG Esports’ level.
That is a decent enough achievement, but the gap between Group Nirvana and Group Ascend has been significant this split. EDG looked strong against weaker opposition, yet there is not enough evidence to believe they can consistently trouble upper-division teams.
Ninjas in Pyjamas have been volatile, but they have faced a much tougher schedule and shown a higher ceiling. If they settle early, they should have the tools to take control of this series and win it comfortably.

Priced at +900 on the top LoL bookmakers, LGD Gaming are given only a small chance of upsetting Weibo Gaming on Sunday. On the surface, that number is understandable.
LGD Gaming were hardly more than a mid-table team in Group Nirvana, and they are now up against a Weibo Gaming side that won six games in Group Ascend against much stronger opposition.
However, while Weibo have shown much higher highs and faced far tougher teams, they have also produced more than a few questionable performances. Their recent narrow win over Team WE is a good example, especially since WE are not clearly stronger than LGD Gaming.
This is not so much a bet on LGD Gaming as it is a bet against Weibo Gaming’s consistency. WBG have beaten some of the LPL’s best teams, but they have also been too volatile to fully trust in a sweep spot.
Weibo Gaming should win the series, but LGD taking one map is very much in play at these odds.
