Weibo Gaming started LPL Split 2 with a loss against Anyone’s Legend, whereas Ninjas in Pyjamas stomped Team WE but then lost to Invictus Gaming. The latter was somewhat competitive as NIP could’ve easily won the first map, but they could not get over the finish line in the end.

Despite the promising start to the split, Ninjas in Pyjamas are not a very good team. Their numbers do not look terrible, but most of the stats are a bit skewed due to their stomping of weaker teams.

Weibo Gaming can be unreliable and volatile, but they have a much higher ceiling and the talent to hang with the best in the league. While they can shoot themselves in the foot, Weibo Gaming to sweep at -120.48 is hard to pass on.

TEAM WE vs BILIBILI GAMING

Team WE enter this match as massive underdogs. The best LoL betting sites have them priced as +900 underdogs, giving WE a mere 10% implied probability of beating Bilibili Gaming, which does not sound too wrong.

This is the most one-sided game Group Ascend can offer, and it is hard to imagine it playing out any differently. Even though BLG did not look great in their 2-1 victory over JD Gaming in the first week of play, they are still an elite squad and the reigning champions.

Not only do Team WE lack the individual talent to challenge Bilibili Gaming, but the game is also stylistically tough for them. As one of the worst early-game teams in the league (-3800 Gold Difference at 20 minutes), WE will have to find a way to stop BLG, who are the best early-game team (+2051 GD@15) in the world.

Anything less than a quick stomp for BLG will be a disappointment.
