Ninjas in Pyjamas sit at 4-3 and have quietly turned into one of the more interesting teams in Group Ascend. They were never expected to dominate this group, but they have shown enough to prove they can hang with stronger opposition.
The standout result was the win over Bilibili Gaming in Week 4, although that came right after a loss to Anyone’s Legend. It is a strange mix, but it also says a lot about this roster. NiP might not be the cleanest team in the group, yet they have enough quality to trouble anyone on the right day.
JD Gaming share the same 4-3 record and come in on a three-series winning streak, which is a step in the right direction after their shaky start to the split. The catch is that those wins came against Weibo Gaming, Invictus Gaming, and Team WE, so the run needs a bit of context.
Stylistically, this is not a comfortable matchup for JDG. They still lean heavily into scaling and slower setups, while Ninjas in Pyjamas are one of the better early-game teams in the group. That gives NiP a clear path to the upset if they can get control early and force JDG to play from behind. At the current price on the best LoL bookmakers, the outsiders are very appealing.

Team WE are still winless five weeks into LPL 2026 Split 2, and it is very hard to see that changing here. At this point, there is not much left to say about WE that has not already been shown on the Rift.
They are clearly the weakest side in Group Ascend, with very little upside and very few reliable win conditions. Whether you look at style or raw talent, they simply do not match up well with the rest of this group.
Bilibili Gaming, by contrast, sit at 6-2. They have not been perfect and there have been a few shaky moments along the way, but the gap between these two teams is too large to overthink. BLG are still one of the class acts in the league, and this is the kind of series they should be winning comfortably.
Anything other than a clean 2-0 from the defending champions would feel like a letdown. Team WE have not shown enough to make a serious case for themselves, and BLG should have too much quality in every phase of the game.
