HAJIN BRION have not had the best start to LCK Rounds 3-4, with two defeats against Kiwoom DRX and DN SOOPers.

While losing to KRX was not too worrying, seeing BRION drop a game against DN SOOPers should raise some concerns.

Getting beaten by the league’s worst-performing team is not a good look for BRION. However, Park “Teddy” Jin-seong and his crew are not particularly strong either. The same thing can be said about most Rise Group teams.

Nongshim RedForce finished the opening week of play with two wins, having beaten KRX and BNK FEARX.

The latter match was a bit scrappy, especially the second and third maps, with Nongshim RedForce clawing their way back into the game despite being down over 4000g at 16 minutes.

Nongshim RedForce arguably should not have beaten BNK FEARX, but they showed the ability to fight from a deficit and the readiness to be flexible in draft, having used Aatrox in the bottom lane for map three.

With side choice, HAJIN BRION should be in a better spot to come out ahead, but their performances this split inspire little confidence that they can keep up.

The top-rated LoL bookmakers have Gen.G listed as +114 underdogs for their clash with Hanwha Life Esports on Wednesday, when the two Korean titans will chase their first victories of the split.

Hanwha Life Esports kicked off LCK Rounds 3-4 with defeats against Dplus KIA and KT Rolster, while Gen.G have so far slipped against T1 and Dplus.

This is far below expectations; however, looking at the two games, HLE have put their vulnerabilities on full display, mainly big ego and late-game macro errors.

That is not something HLE cannot improve on, but their tendency to overextend has been an issue and is something any team can exploit.

Gen.G’s run so far this split has been interesting too, mainly affected by their iffy drafting, which is very uncharacteristic of them.

They showed improvement in that area in their last outing against Dplus KIA, but that series was decided by heroic performances from DK’s star players and exceptional macro.

It was not Gen.G losing, but rather Dplus KIA winning.

Gen.G might have seemed a bit toothless in the opening week of play, but it is easy to forget this is still an elite team and one of the best macro squads in the LCK.

If Gen.G can look more like Gen.G of the spring split on Wednesday, they should be able to hit Hanwha Life Esports where it hurts and outmuscle them in the late game.

At plus money, Gen.G are a no-brainer pick.
