On Sunday, August 23, Eternal Fire announced changes to their Counter-Strike 2 roster, benching Alexander “br0” Bro and bringing in Caner “soulfly” Kesici as his replacement.

In addition to signing soulfly and benching br0, Eternal Fire also announced the permanent acquisition of Samet “jottAAA” Köklü following a loan spell.

The new arrival, soulfly, signs for Eternal Fire from Aurora Gaming, whom he joined in December 2025 but has spent the last two months on the bench.

At Aurora Gaming, the 22-year-old spent six months on the active roster, averaging a 1.01 performance rating across numerous big events.

Notably, soulfly helped Aurora secure a silver medal at ESL Pro League Season 23 and place top-four at BLAST Open Spring and Intel Extreme Masters Cologne Major 2026.

After the Cologne Major, however, Aurora decided to freshen up their roster and benched soulfly and Engin “MAJ3R” Küpeli, with the latter still searching for a new team.

At Eternal Fire, soulfly will reunite with jottAAA, who previously played for Aurora Gaming until February, when he was loaned out to Eternal Fire.

That long loan spell has now turned into a permanent contract, as jottAAA proved himself as a key member of the EF squad, averaging a 1.16 performance rating since his arrival.

Soulfly was acquired by Eternal Fire as a replacement for br0, who was benched from the team earlier today, ending his short stint with the roster.

The Dane played only eight games for Eternal Fire since joining the team on July 5, appearing at European Pro League Series 8, NODWIND Clutch Series 10, and the Esports World Cup Qualifier.

Across the eight games played, br0 averaged a poor 0.90 performance rating, a steep drop from his 1.13 rating over 18 months with NRG.

The new-look roster will debut at the Logitech G Play Connect closed qualifiers, set to begin on August 27.

Eternal Fire will play their first match of the tournament on August 30, when they face OG.
