Evil Geniuses will enter the PGL Major Antwerp Americas RMR as the 46th-ranked team in the world, coming off of a very poor showing in the ESL Pro League where they finished at the bottom of their group with a 0-5 record and only took one map from the five BO3s they played. Before the ESL Pro League, Evil Geniuses were able to secure their spot at this RMR by finishing second in their NA Qualifier, losing to Party Astronauts in the grand final, but they did beat paiN Gaming 2-0 in a BO3 in the semi-final. Evil Geniuses have added three new players to this roster, but so far they haven’t quite lived up to all the hype. Evil Geniuses will need all of the talent and experience that they have at their disposal to beat some of these top teams in the Americas region.

As for paiN Gaming, they currently sit at 45th in the world rankings, only one spot ahead Evil Geniuses. PaiN are coming into the RMR after finishing third in the NA Qualifier beating Snakes Den 2-0 in a BO3 third-place playoff. Since making the RMR, paiN have been very good in every tournament they have entered. They have recorded a first-place finish in the BLAST Premier Qualifier, a third-placing in the NA ESL Challenger League and a second-placing in the ESEA Spring 2022 NA Cash Cup. If paiN keep showing up to tournaments and performing the way they have been in the last few months, they could easily earn their way through to the PGL Major in Antwerp.

Even though Evil Geniuses beat paiN Gaming 2-0 last month, we think that paiN will take out this BO1 simply because they are in such great form and EG are not. The outsiders are paying +100 with BetOnline in the win market, which is a great bet at very good odds.

MiBR vs 9z TEAM CS:GO BETTING & MATCH DETAILS

MiBR qualified for the PGL Major Antwerp Americas RMR by winning the second South American Qualifier beating Sae Caetano 16-6 in the grand final to take first place. Ranked no.27 in the world, they will be the fourth-highest-ranked team at this RMR and the second-highest-ranked South American team, behind FURIA. Since the start of 2022, MiBR have been impressive since losing their IEM Katowice play-in series. They have only lost 2 series in the last month, whilst also taking out the NA ESL Challenger League with perfect 11-0 record through the regular season and playoffs. There is no doubt that MiBR are in the running to take one of the five qualifying spots to make it to Antwerp for the PGL Major.

9z Team qualified for the Americas RMR by finishing fourth in the first South American Qualifier, they lost 16-11 in the semi-finals and then lost the third-place decider to 00NATION. The 9z roster have only had half of their team since the start of this year after adding David Tapia “dav1d” Maldonado and Luca “Luken” Nadotti back in January. Since the team has been together this year they have had some produced some great results in the ESL Challenger League (3rd-4th) and the BLAST Rising 2021 Latin America (1st), giving them a great platform for them to bounce off of going into this RMR.

9z Team actually have a great record against MiBR, winning all of their past series since August of 2021, but this MiBR team are in hot form and they are playing very good Counter-Strike at the moment. Therefore, we will be investing our money on the favourites to take out this BO1.
