Flyquest capped off another near-perfect run in League of Legends of The Americas (LTA) North on Sunday, September 7, defeating 100 Thieves 3-1 in the grand final to claim back-to-back titles and book their ticket to the 2025 LoL World Championship.

FlyQuest win LTA North Split 3

FlyQuest entered the LTA North Split 3 playoffs having dropped just one game all split, and their dominance carried straight through to the finals. 100 Thieves put up resistance, snatching one map and briefly making FlyQuest sweat, but it wasn’t enough to derail the reigning champions.

Game 1 looked destined for Thieves, who built a strong gold lead by the 30-minute mark. But a clutch pick from Gabriël “Bwipo” Rau on Dhokla, followed by a perfectly timed Ambessa ultimate by Victor “FBI” Huang, flipped the momentum in FlyQuest’s favor before they went on to win the opening game.

Thieves struck back in Game 2, snowballing an early lead into the fastest map of the series at under 30 minutes.

From there, however, it was all FlyQuest.

Bwipo’s Aatrox dominate the top side in Game 3, even holding off multiple opponents in solo skirmishes, while Game 4 ended in a rout after Kacper “Inspired” Słoma’s Trundle spearheaded clean teamfighting and macro execution.

FlyQuest sealed the series 3-1, losing just two games across the entire split.

Bwipo earned Finals MVP honors for his unconventional but effective playstyle, consistently disrupting team fights and buying time for his carries.

Meanwhile, marksman Fahad “Massu” Abdulmalek quietly posted massive damage numbers throughout the series, underlining just how many weapons FlyQuest have in their arsenal.

The victory secures FlyQuest’s direct qualification to LoL Worlds 2025, held in China from October 14 to November 9. They also enter the upper-bracket final of the LTA Regional Championship, where they face LTA South Split 3 champions Keyd Stars — another team already locked for Worlds.

For 100 Thieves, Split 3 marked both an end and a new beginning. Though the organization is set to exit the league at year’s end, a top-three finish means 100T will compete in the LTA Championship in Texas.

There, they’ll battle paiN Gaming in the lower-bracket quarterfinals for one last chance to represent North America on the global stage. Shopify Rebellion, the third LTA North seed, will also join the fray.

FlyQuest now stand as North America’s best chance of making noise at Worlds. After winning Split 2, a strong Mid-Season Invitational, and now another dominant split, they’ve solidified themselves as one of the West’s premier contenders.

With Europe’s G2 Esports also in fine form, fans may be treated to a showdown between the two strongest Western powers on League of Legends’ biggest stage.

FlyQuest may have changed leagues, but their message remains the same: they run the North, and now they’re ready to take on the world.
