What’s on in esports for week beginning November 11, 2024

We take a look at the week ahead in esports and the highlight events for November 11-17, with Counter-Strike 2 taking centre stage.

Another big week of pro gaming kicks off on November 11, 2024, with Counter-Strike 2 taking the spotlight in Shanghai, China.

The Asia, Americas and Europe (A) Regional Major Ranking (RMR) events for the CS2 Perfect World Shanghai Major will kick off this week.

Meanwhile, the BLAST R6 Major Montreal and PUBG Mobile Global Championship will continue, with the group stages of both tournaments taking place throughout the week.

Perfect World Shanghai Major RMR

The Asia RMR will be the first of the events to kick off on Monday, with eight CS2 squads set to compete over three days for three Opening Stage spots at the Perfect World Shanghai Major.

The MongolZ and FlyQuest are expected to qualify for the Major; however, any of the other six teams could snatch the final spot.

Beginning the following day, the Americas RMR is expected to be one of the most competitive, with 16 teams from North and South America clashing for seven places in the Opening Stage.

Esports betting sites have very little separating the top six in “To Qualify” betting, with Team Liquid (-400), FURIA Esports (-333.33), paiN Gaming (-303.03), Complexity (-250), MIBR (-188.68) and Imperial Esports (-188.68) all rated strong chances to advance to the Major.

The third RMR that will start on Sunday, November 17, will be for the 16 teams that are engaged in the Europe A event.

Natus Vincere, Team Vitality, MOUZ and FaZe Clan appear to be the top four hopes to advance to the Major, with seven spots up for grabs in the Opening Stage.

PUBG Mobile Global Championship

With Group Yellow and Group Red completing their group stage fixtures, Group Green is the only one left to play their opening set of PUBG Mobile Global Championship matches from November 14-17.

Following the final group games, the Survival Stage will kick off on Wednesday, November 20 and run through November 22.

Alpha 7 Esports, DRX, Guild Esports, Natus Vincere, Nemiga Galaxy, Team Spirit and Tong Jia Bao Esports have already booked their spots in the Grand Finals, following top three finishes in their respective groups.

BLAST R6 Major Montreal 2024

After G2 Esports, Team Falcons, Chiefs Esports Club and Black Dragons qualified for Phase 2 of the BLAST R6 Major Montreal, the second phase of the tournament kicked off on Sunday, November 10.

Each of the 16 Rainbow Six Siege squads played their first two matches of the Swiss Stage, which is scheduled to run until Wednesday, November 13, before the playoffs begin on Friday, November 15.
