Another week of esports kicks off on Monday, May 5, 2025, with Dota 2 taking the spotlight in Copenhagen, Denmark.

The third edition of the BLAST Slam event will take place from May 6-11 inside the BLAST Studios, where 10 of the world’s best Dota 2 teams will battle it out for a massive US$1 million prize pool.

PGL Astana will be the next event on the Counter-Strike 2 calendar, with 16 squads set to congregate in Astana, Kazakhstan, and compete for a US$1.25 million prize pool.

Meanwhile, the second Rainbow Six Siege tournament of 2025 is scheduled to kick off on May 10, with RE:L0:AD 2025 set to be held in Rio De Janeiro, Brazil.

Dota 2 BLAST Slam III

BLAST Slam III is set to kick off on Tuesday, May 6, with all of the group stage matches scheduled to be played throughout the day.

With US$1,000,000 in prize money and a first-place prize of $300,000 up for grabs, a high level of competition is expected to feature during the event.

The best esports betting sites have marked Team Spirit as the +350 favourite to claim the BLAST Slam III title slightly ahead of both PARIVISION (+400) and Team Falcons (+450).

CS2: PGL Astana 2025

Following their recent commitment to hosting regular Counter-Strike 2 events over the next three years, PGL will host their third event of 2025 when PGL Astana gets underway on Saturday, May 10.

With the likes of Team Vitality and Team Falcons choosing to skip the PGL Astana event, it opens up the opportunity for other teams to claim a tournament win as we get closer to the BLAST.tv Austin Major in June.

RE:L0:AD 2025 will kick off the Rainbow Six Siege esports season, with BLAST and Ubisoft set to co-organise the US$520,000 event in Brazil from May 10-18.

With 20 of the world’s best Rainbow Six Siege squads battling it out to take home the US$170,000 first-place prize, it is expected that the event will feature high-level gameplay as they will compete against one another for the first time on the international stage.
