What’s on in esports for week beginning April 28, 2025
Another week of esports kicks off on April 28, 2025, with PUBG taking centre stage in Shanghai, China.
The first PUBG Global Series event of 2025 will take place this week in Shanghai, where the top 24 PUBG teams will compete across six days of competition.
Meanwhile, the inaugural edition of the BLAST Rivals Counter-Strike 2 tournament is scheduled to run from April 30 to May 4 in Copenhagen, Denmark.
PUBG Global Series 7
The first of four PUBG Global Series tournaments will kick off on Monday, April 28 and run through Sunday, May 4, in Shanghai.
With US$300,000 in prize money up for grabs, the top 24 PUBG teams will compete through two stages of the event, with the winner set to take home US$100,000 and 300 PGS Points.
The best esports betting sites have marked 17 Gaming and Twisted Minds as equal +600 favourites to claim the PGS 7 title, ahead of Gen.G Esports (+700), The Expendables (+800) and Newhappy (+850).

BLAST Rivals Spring
BLAST Premier will return this week with BLAST Rivals Spring set to be held in Copenhagen at the BLAST Studios from Wednesday to Sunday.
Eight of the best Counter-Strike 2 squads will compete in the group stage, with six spots up for grabs in the playoffs.
