PGL announced the official schedule for the anticipated PGL Counter Strike 2 Major Copenhagen RMR qualifiers on Wednesday, revealing that the event will kick off in January 2024.

The qualifiers will run from January 8 to January 27 and feature open and closed qualifiers in eight different regions. Europe’s open qualifiers will be held from January 8 to January 15, while the closed qualifiers and deciders will occur between January 18 to January 21.

The South and North American regional qualifiers will be held on similar dates in addition to most Asian regional events. After closed qualifiers, the three RMRs in America, Europe, and Asia will kick off.

The PGL CS2 Major Copenhagen will be the first Major in Counter-Strike 2, the newest iteration of the Valve first-person shooter game. It is set to begin on March 17, 2024, after the conclusion of the regional RMRs.

CS:GO teams still have over six months to go before the qualifiers kick off, giving them ample time to organize their squads and get used to Counter-Strike 2.

The new version will be released this summer; however, there is no confirmed date for the launch. Valve has not given any updates on the game yet, fueling speculations that CS2 could be delayed.

PGL CS2 Major Copenhagen RMRs will be held in February except in the Americas region, where it starts on March 1 to March 4.
