The most successful team in the history of LoL will clash with their regional rivals and the defending champions, DWG KIA, in the 2021 LoL Worlds semi-finals on Saturday, October 30. These two LoL Champions Korea (LCK) juggernauts last met in August in the LCK 2021 Summer finals, where DWG KIA won 3-1.

According to the latest LoL betting odds, Heo “ShowMaker” Su and co. should be just as successful this time out, which makes sense, considering they’re the only undefeated team at the tournament. Still, their record doesn’t tell the whole story since DWG KIA have had a couple of games that they could have easily lost, namely against Rogue and Cloud9.

T1 have lost one game so far – against EDward Gaming in the first round of the group stage – but have since gone undefeated. What’s more, T1 crushed Hanwha Life Esports in the semis with a very crisp performance – the kind not seen from T1 in years.

Admittedly, DWG KIA have looked deadlier, but they haven’t shown enough to justify the odds. The esports betting sites are giving the defending champions a 71.4% implied probability of winning, which is way too high given their iffy performances against Rogue and Cloud9 as well as T1’s improvement throughout the tournament.

DWG KIA might still win, but it won’t be a clean sweep, nor do we believe ShowMaker’s crew will manage to replicate the score from the LCK 2021 Summer finals. Get on T1 to cover the map line.
