Steven “Hans Sama” Liv is set to join G2 Esports ahead of the 2023 League of Legends European Championship (LEC).

This report was made public by renowned League of Legends reporter Brieuc “LEC Wooloo” Seeger via Twitter.

The French bot laner, who started his professional career in June 2016, has played for top esports teams such as Misfits and Rogue. Hans Sama transferred to Team Liquid earlier this year; however, their inability to qualify for the 2022 LoL World Championship led him to leave the team at the end of the LCS season.

From Hans Sama’s early days, he has competed in top leagues. In 2016 he helped Misfits finish in fifth-eighth place at the 2017 LoL World Championship. More recently, he was of the Liquid outfit that claimed the LCS Lock In 2022 title after defeating Evil Geniuses in a 3-0 sweep.

In another Twitter post from LEC Woolwoo, the reporter noted his source had revealed that Hans Sama had a long list of other teams who were interested in him – namely Fnatic, Team Vitality, MAD Lions, SK Gaming, Team BDS, and Karmine Corp. However, the French player settled for G2 Esports.
