Both teams can take a major step towards securing a top-two finish on Wednesday, making this an important game as Gen.G and Hanwha Life Esports try to create some distance from T1.

Despite holding a better 14-2 record than Gen.G, who sit at 12-4, Hanwha Life Esports enter this match as underdogs on the top-rated esports betting sites. That might look strange at first, but it is not too surprising given how both teams have been trending.

Hanwha Life Esports have found more success across the split, but they have started to look shaky of late. Their early game has become a clear concern, and Nongshim RedForce punished that weakness last week.

That gives Gen.G a very obvious area to attack. While HLE have started to show cracks, Gen.G have been on a strong run, producing much cleaner performances over the last few weeks.

Their drafting has improved, their early game has become more efficient, and slowly but surely, Gen.G are getting back towards their top form.

In their current state, Gen.G are rightly viewed as favourites. With HLE showing a few weaknesses and Gen.G trending up, the favourites are the right side.

BNK FEARX vs KIWOOM DRX

Kiwoom DRX have been playing much better lately. Even though they are 2-4 across their last six matches, KRX have shown good things and have been involved in a few close, coin-flip games, so their record should not be taken at face value.

BNK FEARX have also shown signs of life. They remain plagued by their biggest issue, which is overconfidence, and that has led to plenty of situations where BFX have shot themselves in the foot.

Still, this is a very capable team. Their most recent game against Dplus KIA was a good indication of that, as BNK FEARX showed they have the tools to challenge strong opponents when things click.

The issue is that FEARX will still make mistakes, and those mistakes can cost them games. That makes it hard to fully trust them as favourites, especially against a Kiwoom DRX side that has become far more competitive in recent weeks.

BNK FEARX are arguably the stronger team and should be able to come out ahead, but their inconsistency makes it easy to believe KRX can take at least one map.
