KT Rolster are 4-2 heading into the fourth week of LCK 2024 Spring; however, that record is a bit misleading. They have only beaten FearX, Dplus KIA, OKSavingsBank BRION, and DRX – one good squad and three weak ones, which is nothing to write home about.

KT Rolster field a decent roster and have the potential to be good, but they have given us little to feel excited about this split. Moreover, their shaky showings against lesser squads don’t help in making a strong case for Kang “Hirai” Dong-hoon’s men.

Even as favourites with the top LoL betting sites, KT Rolster are not to be trusted — so there aren’t many reasons to believe they can take down the defending LCK champions. Gen.G were a tier above KT Rolster and most other teams before the Lunar New Year break, and even with a new patch, this likely won’t change.

The break gave KT Rolster enough time to prepare for this match, but the same applies to Gen.G, who are significantly better across all performance metrics.

DRX vs KWANGDONG FREECS LoL BETTING & MATCH DETAILS

Best Odds: DRX +162 at BetOnline | KDF -227.27 at BetOnline

DRX lost their fifth match of the LCK 2024 Spring split before the break when they stumbled against KT Rolster. It marked their second consecutive defeat, but it wasn’t as crushing as the loss against T1 at the start of the month.

Three weeks into the 2024 season, DRX look like one of the bottom three teams in the LCK. Not only is their early game abysmal with a -735 gold difference at 15 minutes, but they also hold the league’s second-worst gold differential per minute at -204.

Kwangdong Freecs were crushed by Gen.G in their final match before the break, but they looked good in their previous outings against Dplus KIA, Nongshim RedForce and KT Rolster. As seen in their recent fixtures, KDF play with a lot of confidence and have strong individual players, which makes them dangerous underdogs. Macro is still an area Kwangdong Freecs have to work on, but they have solid Dragon (60%), Herald (50%), and Baron (64.7%) control figures.

Like in the first match of the day, we have to consider that DRX have had enough time to prepare themselves for this fixture. But even if we take that into account, they will likely struggle mainly due to their poor early game.
