Eternal Fire have fought their way to the IEM Katowice 2025 playoffs, confirming that their performance in Copenhagen was more than just a flash in the pan. By humiliating FaZe Clan, the Turkish squad once more proved they are a hard-hitting team with strong teamwork and a scary amount of firepower.

İsmailсan “XANTARES” Dörtkardeş and Özgür “woxic” Eker lead the way for EF, with respective ratings of 1.26 and 1.19 putting them among the top 10 players in the tournament. They are well ahead of MongolZ’s duo Usukhbayar “910” Banzragch (1.15) and Ayush “mzinho” Batbold (1.06).

The MongolZ continued where they left off when we last saw them play, confirming their run last season and at the Perfect World Shanghai Major was not a fluke. But since the turn of the year, MongolZ have only beaten Team Liquid and GamerLegion, which explains why Eternal Fire are priced as favourites with the top Counter-Strike betting sites.

Even though MongolZ have a long list of impressive results from 2024, Eternal Fire have shown more this season and look poised to keep their run going.

VIRTUS.PRO vs TEAM SPIRIT CS2 BETTING & MATCH DETAILS

Best Odds: VP +450 at BetOnline | Spirit -1111.11 at BetOnline

Virtus.pro are one of the biggest surprises of the tournament. Following a rough start to the season, including an early exit from BLAST Bounty Spring 2025, the Russian outfit found traction and made it though IEM Katowice 2025 Group A as the second seed, beating Eternal Fire and G2 Esports.

Team Spirit slipped against Natus Vincere in the second round of Group B but have otherwise been playing well, beating Team Liquid and GamerLegion without issue. This is a solid team, and the loss to NaVi does not take away from the fact that Spirit are one of the title contenders in Poland.

Due to visa issues, Virtus.pro will not be able to count on Timur “FL4MUS” Marev. He will be replaced by Nikolay “mir” Bityukov, which might explain why VP are priced as such massive outsiders. However, their core has remained intact, so at +138, Virtus.pro to steal a map are hard to pass on.
