FISSURE Playground #3 playoffs begin on September 11 with MIBR vs Alliance and FURIA vs G2 Esports.

FISSURE Playground #3 enters the playoff stage on Friday, September 11, when FURIA will face off against G2 Esports, and MIBR will clash with Alliance for a spot in the semifinals.

Alliance have far exceeded everyone’s expectations by reaching the final six at FISSURE Playground #3.
They started the tournament with a huge upset against FaZe Clan, then lost to Legacy, but completed the lower-bracket run with wins against TYLOO and magic.
MIBR’s path to the playoffs was smoother, as they defeated The MongolZ and 9z Team before losing the Group A upper bracket final against the surging BetBoom Team with 9-13 on Mirage and 14-16 on Anubis.
Qualitatively, the two teams have faced teams of similar calibre; however, considering Alliance have beaten both FaZe and magic, they deserve more respect.
That, combined with their deep map pool, holding a better win rate on all maps but Mirage and Cache, makes them a serious threat to defeat MIBR.
Priced at -149.25 on the best CS2 bookmakers, Alliance are expected to succeed, which is fair.
But they are vulnerable on Cache, Mirage, as well as Nuke and Inferno, so it is easier to believe this series will extend to three maps.
Over 2.5 maps
FURIA entered FISSURE Playground #3 as the main title contenders, and they are still on the right path to accomplish that feat.
However, their performances so far have been lacking as they needed three maps to make it past GamerLegion, then nearly lost Inferno against PARIVISION, and got swept by Legacy with 7-13 on Mirage and 9-13 on Ancient.
G2 Esports qualified for the playoffs as Group A’s third seed.
They lost their opening match of the tournament against Astralis 1-2, before completing a lower-bracket run with wins against BIG, 9z Team, and 5star eSports.
Besides the last match, both of G2’s victories were a bit too close for comfort, which does not inspire much confidence.
Both teams have shown high highs this season.
FURIA have accomplished more than G2 and have won this head-to-head at the end of August, which explains why they are priced as favourites.
But their form has been lacking, making G2 Esports an appealing bet as they should be priced much closer to even money.
G2 Esports to win
