ESL strikes deal with Acer's Predator

The world’s leading Esports company, ESL Gaming has announced a partnership with Acer’s gaming brand Predator as its official OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) for ESL One and DreamLeague.

The partnership is expected to cover all ESL Gaming Dota 2 competitions such as The ESL One Stockholm Major 2022, and Dota Pro Circuit (DPC) tournaments in Western Europe and North America until the end of 2022.

The ESL Gaming and Predator partnership is expected to provide users with engagement opportunities during the live streams and gaming competition events. Predator will also have at every live event its own booth where fans can enjoy the next generation of gaming fueled by Intel.

In 2019, ESL Gaming and Acer collaborated and signed a three-year extension contract covering ESL’s Intel Extreme Masters events (IEM). Predator has been the official PC and Monitor Partner of Rainbow Six esports.

ESL Gaming’s Chief Commercial Officer, Rodrigo Samwell, spoke on the previous partnership between both ESL and Acer. He shared his excitement in the continuance of such partnership. Samwell also highlighted the return of Dota 2 esports to the live stage which will commence later this month.

“We have been a proud partner of Acer for many years, and we are super excited to continue on this journey with them,” he said.

“Together with Intel, we are thrilled to take Dota 2 back onto the live stage later this month. Having a world-class brand like Acer join us in this magnificent step is great and shows the trust brands have in the potential of esports.”

Acer Head of Global Product Marketing and Planning Vincent Lin said the fanbase and athletes are a key part of the brand’s goal of promoting esports and giving back to the community.

“Supporting athletes and the fanbase is an integral part of our efforts to help promote esports and contribute back to the growing community,” he said.

The major sponsors of the ESL One Stockholm event taking place at the Hovet Arena, Sweden, include DHL logistics company and Monster Energy Drink. The first stage of the ESL One gaming event starts on the May 12, 2022.

The live event begins on the May 20 and is expected to end on the 22nd, and will be open to fans to attend. The ESL One Stockholm Dota Major 2022 will be featuring several teams from Southeast Asia, Western Europe, Eastern Europe, North America, and South America who will be competing for the prize pool of USD $500,000 and 3,530 DPC points.

ESL, which is based out of Germany, is one of the oldest esports organisations in the world, with their talent pathways regarded as a legit way to enter the industry, as both a player and support staff.
