The International 2025 field has been trimmed to the final eight Dota 2 contenders for the Aegis of Champions following the conclusion of the elimination round on Sunday.

The four clashes produced some of the most dramatic series of the tournament so far, with Team Falcons, PARIVISION, Tundra Esports and Nigma Galaxy winning their way through to the main event.

Western European Dota betting sites powerhouse Team Falcons claimed the final playoff berth with a 2-0 sweep over two-time champions Team Spirit.

Their best-of-three series opened with a 76-minute epic, with Illya “Yatoro” Mulyarchuk’s Divine Rapier-fueled backdoor attempt nearly stealing the game before Falcons’ defense held firm.

Led by Stanislav “Malr1ne” Potorak’s standout Sand King performance, Falcons closed the door in game two with a dominant 39-10 rout. Spirit, meanwhile, bow out of a TI for the first time without making the main stage.

Another shock came as Tundra Esports, playing with substitute Tobias “Tobi” Buchner, eliminated defending champions Team Liquid in a 2-1 thriller.

Despite Liquid’s strong start and world champion pedigree, Tundra’s relentless execution behind Neta “33” Shapira’s leadership proved decisive. The victory sends Tundra to Hamburg’s Barclays Arena, ending Liquid’s hopes of back-to-back titles.

PARIVISION lived up to expectations by sweeping Wildcard. Alan “Satanic” Gallyamov starred with flawless performances on Anti-Mage and Faceless Void, pacing a comeback win in game two to seal a 2-0 result.

While PARIVISION’s playoff spot seemed inevitable, their path through the elimination round was far from smooth, having stumbled late in the group stage.

Meanwhile, Nigma Galaxy produced one of the tournament’s most inspiring storylines.

They entered their clash against Aurora Gaming as heavy underdogs with esports betting sites; however, the iconic squad pulled off a reverse sweep to reach their first TI main stage since the organization’s inception.

Daniel “Ghost” Chan’s Medusa sealed the decisive third game, supported by veteran plays from Sumail “SumaiL” Hassan and Kuro “KuroKy” Salehi Takhasomi’s leadership from the sidelines.

With the elimination round concluded, the eight playoff teams are set: Xtreme Gaming, Team Tidebound, BetBoom Team, HEROIC, Nigma Galaxy, PARIVISION, Tundra Esports, and Team Falcons.

The playoffs run from September 11–14 in Hamburg, with all matches in a double-elimination bracket, and the grand final will be a best-of-five showdown for the Aegis.
