Russian professional Counter-Strike: Global Offensive player Kirill “Boombl4” Mikhaylov’s ties with Natus Vincere have come to an end following the player’s contract, which will expire this month.

The CS:GO in-game leader has been moved to the inactive roster since May 20, 2022. He stated that he was in talks with G2 Esports this summer, but things never progressed past the preliminary level. Most fans speculated that the failure of the transfer to G2 Esports was a result of his existing contract with Navi Esports at the time.

Boombl4 has represented a list of CS:GO teams starting from when he debuted his pro career in 2017 with the now-disbanded Russian team Elements Pro Gaming. The player has also represented the Russian esports outfits Quantum Belletor Fire and Winstrike Team. Boombl4 down the line joined Natus Vincere in May 2019 and represented them in top esports tournaments, bringing the team countless trophies.

The CS:GO captain represented Natus Vincere at the Intel Extreme Masters XIV-World Championship, where they emerged the winners of the tournaments, trashing G2 Esports at the grand finals match that ended with 3-0 scores, then going home with a prize money of $250,00. Boombl4 and Natus Vincere had other series of back-to-back first places at the DreamHack Masters Spring 2021, the IEM Masters XIV Cologne, and ESL Pro League Season 14. 2021 PGL Major Stockholm and the 2021 BLAST Premier: World Final

At the moment, no verified news has been made about the new team Boombl4 plans to join. However, there’s been speculation he is on his way to join the new BetBoom team. If this is true, the esports outfit is expected to make an official announcement before the end of January.

The Ukrainian team also recently parted ways with the 25-year-old rifler Viktor “sdy” Orudzhev, and promoted Andrii “npl” Kukharskyi from their academy team to fill up the rifler position.

The team’s current players now consist of the world’s best CS:GO player, Oleksandr “s1mple” Kostyliev, who has a three-year contract with the team; in-game leader Denis “electroNic” Sharipov, who has been with the team since 2017; Ilya “Perfecto” Zalutskiy; AWper player Valerii “b1t” Vakhovskyi, npl; and their 36-year-old coach, Andrii “B1ad3” Horodenskyi.

Navis Vincere, on the other hand, is yet to reveal which player will replace the team’s captain on the roster. However, it is likely that the team is already in talks with a new player, and an official announcement of the addition will be sent out in the coming weeks.
