Cloud9 New York will have their work cut out for them against the CDL Major 3 champions, Los Angeles Thieves. But while this looks like a lopsided matchup, C9NY have done well this stage with a 3-0 sweep of Vegas Falcons and a surprising 3-1 victory against Atlanta FaZe.
LA Thieves have managed a 1-2 record heading into the final week of qualifying, with losses against Atlanta FaZe and Miami Heretics and one victory against Vegas Falcons. This is not inspiring, but the Thieves’ ability to bounce back is not to be underestimated.
Cloud9 New York have been playing well on Hacienda and Control and look like feisty underdogs for this affair. While LA Thieves are the better team, C9 should be able to pocket one map.

Despite the urgency, the Royal Ravens are unlikely to stop the surging Heretics, due to their concerning performances on respawns. Even though Isaiah “Gwinn” Gwinn and co. are solid on Search & Destroy, they have a worrying 2-5 combined record on Control and Hardpoint.
Miami Heretics are not only much more efficient on respawn game modes, but they are also one of the top Search & Destroy teams in the CDL, which completely crushes the Royal Ravens’ win condition.
