Los Angeles Thieves won the Call of Duty League regular season and are the outright favourites to end the year with the CDL Championship title. On the other side, Boston Breach barely qualified for the final event, ending the season with a 16-19 record and 200 points.

Despite the poor placement in the regular season, the Breach have had their moments and are one of the few teams that beat the Thieves (3-1 in Stage 2 Major). That said, they are unlikely to achieve the same success on Thursday.

Boston Breach are very solid on Hacienda–Hardpoint, which is LA Thieves’ weakest map. This, however, suggests that the Thieves will want to veto it, shutting down the underdogs’ chances to walk away from this game with anything.

As the latest betting odds on the top Call of Duty betting sites suggest, this should be a competitive matchup. Both teams have shown high highs this season, but Miami Heretics have been more successful in the months leading up to the 2025 CDL Championship.

They won Major 4 qualifiers and finished third on LAN, adding to their solid fourth-place finish in Major 3. Vancouver Surge were runners-up in Major 3 but crashed out of the fourth Major in last place. 

The Surge are good on Hardpoint, but their Search & Destroy has been lacking (35.7% win rate), which will be a problem. While Jovan “04” Rodriguez and co. have a good enough map pool to force a close series, the Heretics should edge out a win.

OpTic lost Hardpoint–Rewind by four points, came one round short on Search & Destroy–Protocol, and smashed FaZe on Hacienda–Control. This proves that FaZe are beatable and should not be priced at -250 with esports bookmakers against the defending champions.

It will take a blunder for FaZe to lose, but OpTic can keep it close.

Toronto Ultra and Carolina Royal Ravens met twice last stage, and both games ended in Ultra’s favour — 3-1 in Major 4 qualifiers and 3-2 on LAN.

For the rematch, the Ultra are priced as big favourites, which is not surprising, as they have been in great form and have not struggled against any team outside of the CDL’s top dogs. Moreover, the Canadian outfit can count on home-ground advantage for the CDL Championship, which bumps them up a bit more.

Carolina Royal Ravens can take a map, likely Red Card or Dealership on Search & Destroy. But their poor record on Control (42.9%) and Hardpoint (18.2%) makes it hard to believe they can accomplish more than that.
