The Carolina Royal Ravens performed relatively well in Boston. They secured a four-map victory over New York Subliners but crashed out of the Major with a game-five defeat against Seattle Surge. Individually, this is a decent squad, but the Royal Ravens are very iffy on Search & Destroy, which is something their opponents will look to exploit on Saturday.
Boston Breach made one roster move before the second stage of the CDL season, with Obaid “Asim” Asim coming in for Kenyen “Capsidal” Sutton at the start of February. The change follows a disappointing run at their home event, where Boston placed last with a rough 2-3 loss against the Seattle Surge.
Asim is a great addition, and he should bring some more stability. But it is fair to question whether there is enough raw talent on this team for Boston Breach to go very far this stage.
With the latest change, this looks like a very winnable match for the Breach, but we should expect a bit closer game. Over 4.5 maps at +173 with BetOnline is worth a look.

Miami Heretics upgraded their roster by re-signing Eric “EriKBooM” Ferrer as a replacement for Juan “JurNii” Antonio González Muñoz. But it is impossible to know how much of an impact this roster change will have.
After one CDL stage, it is still tough to say whether the Heretics are a good or bad team. They’ve had their moments and looked very competitive, but then there were games where Miami Heretics fell apart. This is a very volatile team, but on a good day, Miami can defeat anyone.
This makes the Heretics an exciting option as heavy underdogs with the top esports betting sites. Atlanta FaZe are still miles ahead of Miami quality-wise, but they are against a team that can surprise them.

New York Subliners finished the CDL Major 1 Qualifiers in third place with a 6-1 record. However, Cesar “Skyz” Bueno then fell apart at the main event and exited CDL Major 1 in last place with defeats against Minnesota RØKKR and Carolina Royal Ravens.
The Subliners have shown struggles on Control, and even their Hardpoint is super shaky. This team has a lot of things to work on, and while the map shuffle could help them, it’s tough to feel overly optimistic about the Subliners heading into the CDL Major 2 Qualifiers.
Seattle Surge made it to the third round of the losers’ bracket at CDL Major 1 before they were eliminated from the tournament by OpTic Texas. Despite their decent showing, the Surge replaced their best player, Indervir “iLLeY” Dhaliwal, with Paul “Breszy” Breszynski, which bumps them down a bit. The Surge weren’t a top-tier team before, and this change won’t help them.
This is a match between a team with much work to do and a squad that just became much weaker. However, even though the Subliners deserve to be the favourites, the Surge with a map advantage looks like the smarter choice.
