FaZe Vegas have not had the best run through CDL Stage 3, but they have still done enough against weaker teams and have not looked too bad when tested by stronger opposition.
Their online-stage form has not been especially exciting, but FaZe have earned a reputation as one of the better LAN teams in the league. With the Major now moving offline, a sharper showing from FaZe should be expected.
ROC Esports have a brutal opening assignment. They are facing one of the league’s strongest LAN teams, and while FaZe have not been flawless, the gap in quality is still significant.
FaZe have too much firepower and too much experience to make this difficult. Anything other than a clean sweep would be a surprise.
| Best Odds | G2 -277.78 at BetOnline | Surge +200 at SportsBetting |

Vancouver Surge started the split well, beating G2 Minnesota and Carolina Royal Ravens, but they have cooled off since. Losses to Riyadh Falcons twice, Los Angeles Thieves, and Toronto KOI leave them in rough shape heading into the Major.
The silver lining is that all three opponents are strong teams, so the recent run is not quite as bad as the record suggests. Still, there is no denying Surge need a response.
G2 Minnesota are priced as favourites on the top betting sites, but that number looks short. They ended the qualifiers at 2-3, and while the upset win over Los Angeles Thieves was impressive, it does not erase the bigger concerns around this roster.
G2 have not shown much outside of that one upset, and they previously lost to Boston Breach. This matchup looks much closer to a coin flip than the odds suggest, making Vancouver Surge a very appealing underdog.
| Best Odds | OpTic -50000 at BetOnline | OMiT +2000 at SportsBetting |

There is not much to say about OpTic Texas, who enter the Major in exceptional form. They have only lost one match this split, against Los Angeles Thieves at the Minor, and have otherwise been in complete control.
OpTic have no clear weaknesses right now. They have played three game-fives this stage, but seeing them close out two of those matches is another good sign heading into LAN.
OMiT Noir are a Challenger team and not even one of the better second-division squads. That makes this a massive step up, and it is hard to imagine them causing OpTic many problems.
OpTic might not approach this match with the same intensity they would bring against another title contender, but the quality gap is still too wide. Anything less than a 3-0 sweep would be a major surprise.
| Best Odds | Falcons -2000 at BetOnline | C9NY +750 at SportsBetting |
| When | May 15, 2026 | 13:00 EDT |

Cloud9 New York are the clear worst team in the league and arguably the most likely side to finish last in their CDL Major 3 group. In their current form, C9NY should not pose a serious threat to any team attending the Major.
Riyadh Falcons ended the qualifiers in fifth place with a 3-2 record, which is a decent enough spot. They are not one of the main title contenders, but their tag as firm favourites against Cloud9 New York is more than justified.
Cloud9 look like a dead team right now, and this is not a matchup where they should be trusted to suddenly turn things around.
The Falcons should be able to control the series from start to finish. The sweep is the right play.
| Best Odds | Royal Ravens +137 at BetOnline | Heretics -188.68 at SportsBetting |
| When | May 15, 2026 | 14:30 EDT |

Miami Heretics placed 10th in the CDL Stage 3 Major Qualifiers with a 2-3 record, but their second-place finish at the Minor tournament is enough reason not to write them off as a team that can make a deeper run.
The mixed bag of results makes Heretics hard to properly rate. They have beaten FaZe Vegas, Paris Gentle Mates, and Boston Breach, but have also lost to Los Angeles Thieves, G2 Minnesota, and Riyadh Falcons. The upside is there, but the consistency is not.
Carolina Royal Ravens ended the qualifiers with the same 2-3 record and did not do much in the Minor. Still, last weekend’s wins over Cloud9 New York and Los Angeles Thieves were encouraging, and pushing FaZe to five maps earlier in the month was no small feat.
The concern with Royal Ravens is that they usually look better online than on LAN. Even so, Miami have also underperformed on LAN this season and remain the more volatile team of the two.
At plus money, Carolina Royal Ravens are worth backing.
| Best Odds | LAT -2000 at BetOnline | Notorious +750 at SportsBetting |
| When | May 15, 2026 | 14:30 EDT |
| Watch Live | YouTube, Twitch |
Los Angeles Thieves started the split well, beating Miami Heretics, Cloud9 New York, and Vancouver Surge. They also added a run to the Minor title, but have since cooled down with defeats against Carolina Royal Ravens and G2 Minnesota.
That recent slump is hard to ignore, but it has not taken away their status as one of the leading contenders for the CDL Major 3 title. The bigger question is how they will perform on LAN against the likes of OpTic Texas and FaZe Vegas.
Project Notorious have some recognisable CDL names, including Ben “Beans” McMellon and Eric “Snoopy” Pérez, so they are not complete pushovers. They are still much weaker than LA Thieves, but they have enough quality to make things interesting.
If you believe the Thieves immediately bounce back in style, a 3-0 sweep is very possible. But until they show last week was only a small bump in the road, Notorious to take a map is the more appealing play.
| Best Odds | M8 -625 at BetOnline | Breach +350 at SportsBetting |
| When | May 15, 2026 | 14:30 EDT |
| Watch Live | YouTube, Twitch |
Paris Gentle Mates are a difficult team to figure out. They started the split by beating Carolina Royal Ravens and G2 Minnesota, then lost to Miami Heretics at the Minor, barely got past Boston Breach, and ended the qualifiers with losses to OpTic Texas and Miami Heretics.
Their record is not great, but they have generally beaten the teams below them, which makes it fair to feel confident about their chances of beating Boston Breach on Friday.
The concern is that Paris Gentle Mates are still lacking in Search & Destroy and Overload. That opens the door for Boston Breach, who have shown enough this stage to suggest they are not as weak as the market suggests.
Breach are among the weaker teams attending the Major, but they nearly defeated Gentle Mates at the start of May and have had a few competitive showings across the stage.
Paris should be favoured, but Boston are underrated at these numbers. The map handicap is the value play.
| Best Odds | KOI -8333.33 at BetOnline | Huntsmen +1200 at SportsBetting |
| When | May 15, 2026 | 14:30 EDT |
| Watch Live | YouTube, Twitch |
Toronto KOI did not get much done in the Minor, but they put together a decent run in the CDL Stage 3 Major Qualifiers, placing second with a 4-1 record. Their schedule was fairly soft, but they still handled what was in front of them.
KOI are arguably the strongest team in Group B. Their Search & Destroy remains a big question mark, but Jamie “Insight” Craven and his crew are strong enough on respawns to avoid serious trouble in the group stage.
Huntsmen will be out to spoil KOI’s plans and prove their worth in front of CDL scouts. This is an interesting up-and-coming team who have made noise in Challengers and are in a good spot to make some kind of splash at the Major.
While Huntsmen might have a small chance against the other two teams in the group, beating Toronto KOI looks like too big of an ask. KOI should win this cleanly.
