On Saturday, Santos e-Sports caused quite an upset when they clinched an overtime win against FaZe Clan (8-6). Santos kept their wheels spinning and picked up another huge (7-5) victory against Ninjas in Pyjamas on Sunday.
Regardless of their remarkable run, Santos e-Sports enter this match as heavy underdogs.That makes sense since you could argue that Santos’s wins were flukes. Black Dragons e-Sports lost their opening match of Brasileirão 2021 – Stage 3 against MiBR on Saturday (3-7). In their defence, Black Dragons played well, but they couldn’t stop MiBR’s Felipe “FelipoX” de Lucia, who had an outstanding performance. In contrast, Black Dragons’ new signing, Guilherme “Bassetto” Bassetto, had a disastrous debut (0.64 rating).
INTZ’s only match of this stage came on Sunday when they fell flat against MiBR. Like Black Dragons, INTZ couldn’t contain FelipoX, who singlehandedly carried his side to a victory with a rating of 1.60 and 82% KOST (Kill, Objective, Survive, Trade).
Both teams lost against the same opponent, so it’s hard to use those results to figure out how well will they match up this weekend. Even their head-to-head record doesn’t help, seeing how they’re 1-1 on the year, with Black Dragons winning 7-2 in March and INTZ securing a revenge 8-7 win in June.
