Organized by FISSURE, PARI Universe is an upcoming Dota 2 tournament that will bring together ten of the world’s best teams to battle for a share of the US$250,000 prize pool.
Scheduled to kick off on Thursday, October 22, PARI Universe is an online Dota 2 event and the year’s 12th Tier-1 tournament. Bridging the gap between BLAST SLAM VIII and BLAST SLAM IX, PARI Universe will feature some of the scene’s top squads, including well-known names in Team Yandex, PARIVISION, and Team Spirit, as well as some up-and-coming stacks such as Astra Invicta and LEGION, who will look to prove their worth on the big stage.
The tournament will run from October 22 to November 1, and is divided into two stages. The action begins with a group stage, which splits the 10 participating teams into two single round-robin groups of five.
All group stage matches are played as best-of-three, with the top four teams of each group progressing into the playoffs.
PARI Universe playoffs will use a familiar format with a double-elimination bracket and all matches played as best-of-three, except for the grand final, which is best-of-five.
With 34 games scheduled to unfold over the 11 days of action, PARI Universe promises to offer plenty of betting opportunities to explore and unforgettable moments to experience.

PARI Universe Teams to Watch
Team Yandex
Team Yandex are viewed as the main favorites to win PARI Universe, and for all the right reasons. They are the most in-form team in the scene, fresh off a title run at BLAST SLAM VIII.
It marked Yandex’s fourth tournament title of the year and their second in a row, after PGL Wallachia Season 9. In the months prior, Yandex have also secured bronze medals at The International 2026 and the Esports World Cup and won BLAST SLAM VII, which translates to five consecutive tournaments with a podium finish.
Not only have Yandex been posting impressive tournament performances, but they’ve also been effective in handling both of the other two PARI Universe top dogs in Team Spirit and PARIVISION.
PARIVISION
PARIVISION are rightly viewed as one of the serious title contenders at PARI Universe after what they’ve shown in the last three months. Since winning the Esports World Cup, PARIVISION have also secured a silver medal at The International, and they placed third at BLAST SLAM VIII.
That stretch of results, however, could’ve easily resulted in three gold medals, yet on two occasions, PARIVISION lost very close games against Team Spirit. If PARIVISION can overcome their demons and defeat Spirit – as they had during the group stage of TI – a potential PARI Universe title run is not unlikely.
Team Spirit
The reigning The International champions, Team Spirit don’t have much to prove ahead of their PARI Universe campaign. Since hoisting the Aegis of Champions, Spirit have attended just one tournament – BLAST SLAM VIII – where they had a smooth run up to the grand finals, where they lost to Team Yandex.
Yandex had also beaten Spirit during the BLAST SLAM VIII group stage, proving themselves as Spirit’s main obstacle. This could remain the case this week, albeit Spirit are known to start ramping up after TI, and if history has taught us anything, the balance of power can shift very quickly.
1w Team
1w Team are an interesting roster, who look very potent on paper, but do not have many notable results to their name.
Since acquiring the ex-Nigma Galaxy lineup, 1w Team have yet to win a trophy, nor have they come close. They exited TI in seventh-eighth, and repeated that placement at PGL Wallachia Season 9. 1w Team’s run at the more recent BLAST SLAM VIII was hardly more inspiring, as they crashed out in fifth-sixth, hitting a wall as soon as they met more formidable opponents.
The potential is there. But 1w Team have yet to prove they have the tools to handle elite teams.
Team Liquid
Team Liquid have been somewhat underwhelming of late, having finished BLAST SLAM VIII in ninth-12th place. But there is a reason for optimism ahead of PARI Universe, as Liquid will finally get to debut ex-Team Falcons mid laner Stanislav “Malr1ne” Potorak, who joined the team earlier this month.
With Malr1ne, Team Liquid have gained a lot of quality and potentially a shift in their game plan, with a high likelihood that Liquid will turn into a faster-paced team. How well this will work out remains to be seen, but with a new face joining the roster, Liquid have a chance for a fresh start.
Astra Invicta
Astra Invicta are not among the names that pop up when talking about potential PARI Universe champions. As a stack of players, Astra Invicta are unproven as a unit, but they field established individual talent.
Consisting of Egor “Nightfall” Grigorenko, Artem “lorenof” Melnyk, Dmitry “DM” Dorokhin, Omar “OmaR” Moughrabi, and Maroun “GH” Merhej, this roster has plenty of talent and experience, and all the tools they need to do serious damage. While still a bit of an enigma, it would not be surprising to see Astra Invicta pick up a few big scalps.
PARI Universe Predictions
Outright Bet – Team Yandex to Win
PARIVISION and Team Spirit are world-class teams, both more than capable of winning the tournament. But as it stands now, Team Yandex are in much better shape and in a better spot to hoist the trophy.
There is a world where either Spirit or PARIVISION wake up, yet neither have found success when faced with Team Yandex in the recent weeks, and there is nothing to suggest that will change. Fatigue could play a role here, but it’ll affect Yandex just as much as the other two top contenders.
Team Yandex to win
Outsider Bet – Astra Invicta to Reach the Final
Astra Invicta are listed as one of the biggest outsiders to win PARI Universe. However, on paper, this roster has everything you need to win events like it.
Fielding some of the most experienced and accomplished players in the scene, Astra Invicta are a very stacked squad, which could either fall apart or work extremely well. While a lot has to fall into place for Astra Invicta to make a deep run, they do have the quality to do so, making Astra an inviting outsider bet to reach the big stage.
