Gen.G enter this match off a 2-1 win against KT Rolster, who caused them some issues.

Gen.G dominated the first map and got stomped on the second, before edging out a series win on the third, despite finding themselves in a rough spot very early on. It was not the most convincing performance.

Dplus KIA have not managed a win streak this long and have been a bit all over the place with their results, most recently losing to Hanwha Life Esports on Thursday.

The end result of that match, however, was a byproduct of a massive throw on both maps.

Dplus lost to Hanwha Life Esports badly, but if we zoom out, they have been playing extremely well. Since Week 10, DK have beaten Hanwha Life Esports, KT Rolster twice, T1, and more notably, Gen.G with a 2-0 sweep.

Given how strong Dplus KIA have been this split, it is hard to explain why top-rated bookmakers have them listed as +162 underdogs.

While the throw against HLE does not inspire much confidence, DK defeated Gen.G at the end of July, and there is nothing to suggest they cannot do it again.

DN SOOPers lost their last game against HAJIN BRION.

It was a close match which could have gone either way, but DN SOOPers got out-drafted on both maps, especially on the second, when they opted into a hard-to-execute composition.

Kiwoom DRX were just as unsuccessful in their last outing, when they had to admit defeat to Nongshim RedForce.

Even before that, KRX have had a few blowout losses, which is not ideal, especially since they were fairly consistent in keeping games close earlier in the season.

The main takeaway from Kiwoom DRX’s loss to Nongshim RedForce is how weak their early game was, which put them in an unwinnable position early on.

This has been their weakness in recent weeks, and the main cause of their downfall.

Both DN SOOPers and Kiwoom DRX have their own wrinkles, but while KRX won the last head-to-head at the start of the month, their early game has gotten worse since.

This makes DN SOOPers a very appealing pick with side choice.
