FOKUS enter BLAST Bounty Summer qualifiers as outsiders and an unproven squad, having spent the entire season competing only in lesser tournaments.

They featured at PGL Bucharest in April, marking FOKUS’ only big-event appearance of 2026, where they settled for a ninth-11th-place finish.

Aurora Gaming have yet to win a gold medal this season, but they have secured several notable tournament placements, namely a semifinal run at Intel Extreme Masters Cologne Major.

This is a clash between two teams from different tiers, and the odds on the top-rated Counter-Strike 2 bookmakers reflect it. While Aurora have been out of action for a month now, even ring rust is not a good enough reason to fade them in this contest.

SINNERS Esports will chase an upset win on Thursday, when they face FUT Esports, who are fresh off a bittersweet ninth-11th-place finish at the IEM Cologne Major.

In Germany, FUT Esports proved they can compete at a high level, as they made it through the second stage with a perfect record.

However, FUT ran out of steam in Stage 3, with competitive losses against BetBoom Team, Team Vitality, and G2 Esports.

Unlike SINNERS, FUT have been competing in some of the biggest events this season, and they have proven themselves as feisty outsiders.

Given the experience they have gained against elite teams, squads like SINNERS should never cause FUT Esports serious issues.

Gentle Mates have recently parted ways with AWPer Antonio “Martinez” Martínez and will field Joey “CRUC1AL” Steusel as his replacement for the BLAST Bounty Summer qualifiers.

CRUC1AL recently featured for Gentle Mates at Stake Ranked Episode 3, where they placed fifth-sixth, but he has no official games to his name prior to that since December 2025.

PaiN Gaming have not made any roster changes since April, so they will enjoy more continuity. However, their recent performances do not inspire much confidence, as paiN placed seventh-eighth at Stake Ranked Episode 3 and 17th-19th at IEM Cologne Major.

It also does not help that paiN are on a three-game losing streak, with defeats against Sharks, Phantom, and 3DMAX.

The Brazilians are stronger on paper, but their shaky form makes it hard to trust them to deliver on Thursday. At plus money, Gentle Mates are worth a look.

OG are firm underdogs to win on Thursday, when they clash with one of the world’s strongest CS2 teams, Team Spirit.

This is a proper David vs Goliath fixture, with OG having not shown anything noteworthy this season or anything that would suggest they have the tools to challenge a tier-one team.

Team Spirit are in excellent form, having placed second at IEM Rio in April, before winning PGL Astana and making the semifinals of IEM Cologne Major.

They have since had a month-long break, but that should not affect their chances of cruising past OG.

Anything less than a comfortable sweep for Team Spirit would be a major disappointment.
