Magic and 3DMAX last met on May 27 during Stake Ranked Episode 2, when magic won 2-0.

They have since played seven games and won all but two, including victories against Walczaki and Gentle Mates on Tuesday during their StarSeries Fall qualifier campaign.

3DMAX are the more established team of the two, albeit in shaky form, having managed only two wins from their last seven outings.

They recently slipped against K27 and HEROIC, and won against paiN Gaming and Gentle Mates during their run to a fourth-place finish at Stake Ranked Episode 3.

Qualitatively, 3DMAX and magic are not that far apart, but magic are in much better form, and they handled the French squad fairly easily not that long ago.

At $1.66, magic are a clear choice.

HeroicThe MongolZ

HEROIC are $1.57 favourites on the top-rated CS2 bookmakers to take down The MongolZ on Friday, despite being worse ranked at No.28 than the Mongolian outfit at No.15.

This is mainly due to HEROIC’s promising form ahead of the BLAST Bounty Summer qualifiers, having recently won Stake Ranked Episode 3, dropping just three maps in the process.

It was HEROIC’s first tournament with the newest signings, Antonio “Martinez” Martínez, Ludvig “Brollan” Brolin, and coach Joonas “doto” Forss, who seem to have fit in with the rest of the roster fairly quickly.

The MongolZ have not played an official match since Intel Extreme Masters Cologne Major, where they crashed out in ninth-11th place, marking yet another early elimination in their hunt for the first trophy of the season.

However, despite having yet to win an event, The MongolZ are no pushovers.

There is slight concern with how The MongolZ will do following the recent arrival of Ireedui “DarkMeister” Dugarsuren and Zolbayar “Tikuak” Chimedtseren, as the duo have yet to debut for the team. Nevertheless, the core remains solid, making The MongolZ a decent pick at plus money.

Team LiquidTeam Vitality

Team Liquid will have their work cut out for them on Friday, when they take on Team Vitality, who cannot afford another slip-up at BLAST Bounty Summer following a disappointing fifth-eighth-place finish at IEM Cologne Major.

While Vitality’s early exits from IEM Atlanta and the Cologne Major cost them their tag as the world’s No.1 team, this is still the same roster that won five consecutive S-Tier tournaments since January, and a team that have lost just six series all season.

Team Liquid have been mediocre at best this season and look more like a tier-two team than a serious threat for big-event trophies.

Even with the recent roster changes, Liquid are a tier below Vitality, and it should show on Friday.

DENDELE CSFURIA

FURIA are expected to dominate on Friday, when they clash with DENDELE CS, formerly Sharks Esports.

Considering FURIA’s accomplishments this season, including a runner-up finish at the Cologne Major, the $1.12 price tag appears justifiable.

Clashes between two regional teams tend to be much closer than initially expected, mainly because players know each other well.

However, the quality difference here is too significant to believe DENDELE CS can be competitive.

Anything less than a one-sided sweep for FURIA would be a disappointment.
