Nigma Galaxy announced significant roster changes on Monday, June 8, parting ways with Denys “rincyq” Bohushev and Tony “No!ob” Assaf to make room for the arrivals of Sumail “SumaiL” Hassan and Artem “lorenof” Melnyk.

The major changes come just weeks before The International 2026 and Esports World Cup qualifiers, confirming ongoing rumours that Nigma Galaxy were looking to bolster their lineup ahead of the upcoming competitive stretch.

Major changes were expected, as Nigma Galaxy have struggled to leave a mark in the 2026 Dota 2 season and have yet to win a tournament.

Notably, they have attended just two Tier 1 events, ESL One Birmingham and DreamLeague Season 29, and crashed out early in both, finishing 15th-16th and 13th-14th.

Now, with two new faces in the squad, Nigma Galaxy can hope to find more success in the coming months.

The signing of SumaiL sees the Pakistani Dota 2 superstar return to Nigma Galaxy for the third time in his career.

SumaiL first joined the European team in May 2022 ahead of TI qualifiers and left the roster in April of the following year. After a short stint in China, SumaiL re-joined Nigma Galaxy at the start of 2024 and remained with the team until March 2026.

Since then, the 27-year-old has not found a permanent home and has only featured as a stand-in for MOUZ and Team Falcons at 1win Essence I and BLAST Slam VII.

His new teammate, lorenof, joins Nigma Galaxy as an experienced player, having been involved in the professional scene since 2020.

Across six years, he has played for a number of teams, including Chimera Esports, Tundra Esports, and Aurora Gaming, with whom he won a silver medal at DreamLeague Season 28 earlier this season.

Having served only as a stand-in since his departure from AVULUS in November 2025, lorenof has now signed his first contract in seven months and the 14th of his career.

With no other roster changes confirmed, Nigma Galaxy now have a new lineup built around Cedric “Davai” Deckmyn, Omar “OmaR” Moughrabi, Maroun “GH” Merhej, and the latest arrivals, SumaiL and lorenof.

SumaiL and lorenof are set to debut for Nigma Galaxy later this month at The International 2026: Europe Closed Qualifier, where Nigma Galaxy will clash with 15 other European Dota 2 teams for one of four direct invites to TI 15.
