Ninjas in Pyjamas and Invictus Gaming have played two best-of-five games in the LPL Split 1. Ninjas in Pyjamas won the first game 3-1 and Invictus Gaming returned the favor with a 3-1 victory of their own.

A lot has changed since, and the teams have had plenty of time to iron out their wrinkles. According to their performance in the first week, when IG crushed Top Esports and Ninjas in Pyjamas ran over Team WE, they have managed to improve, but the question is, how much weight can we put on one game?

With the changes IG have made ahead of Split 2, they now have a much higher ceiling and are likely going to emerge as the better team. However, while they are a completely different team with better potential, Invictus Gaming will need more time to reach 100%.

This looks closer to a coin flip than the odds suggest. Ninjas in Pyjamas at plus money are worth a shot.

TEAM WE vs TOP ESPORTS

Top Esports started LPL 2026 Split 2 with a humiliating 0-2 loss against Invictus Gaming. The game was not close, and it ended in a one-sided stomp, marking one of TES’s worst defeats of the season.

The significant roster changes Top Esports have made did not play out; granted, some growing pains were expected. And even though their bottom lane got smoked, with Yu “JackeyLove” Wenbo going 0/12/6, it was not purely his fault, as Top Esports failed to keep up in all other positions as well.

Like Top Esports, Team WE started the split with a painful defeat, as they got crushed by Ninjas in Pyjamas. Team WE were not expected to do well this split, but that loss was much more one-sided than anticipated.

On paper, Top Esports are a stronger team, and it is reflected in the odds offered by the best LoL bookmakers. However, given their start to the split, it is hard to make a solid case for them. With time, TES will improve, but until they show some stability, it is fair to expect WE to cause some damage.
