Virtus.pro finalize CS2 roster with two young players

Virtus.pro finalized their Counter-Strike 2 roster by promoting two academy players, who fill in the gaps left behind by the departures of Evgenii “FL1T” Lebedev and Petr “fame” Bolyshev.

Joining the Russian team are Dias “F0R3VER” Kutubay and Aleksandr “AquaRS” Kovalev, formerly of Virtus.pro Academy.

VP announced the news on Thursday, March 12, just three weeks after Virtus.pro welcomed back Nikolay “mir” Bityukov as an in-game leader and replacement for Ilya “Perfecto” Zalutskiy.

The arriving duo are relatively unproven, having made their first competitive appearance in the second half of 2024.

AquaRS debuted in the CS2 esports world in October 2024 with Virtus.pro Academy, while F0R3VER played for MYSKILL before joining VP’s academy division in January 2025.

“The decision to promote the players to the main roster was made following recent tournaments,” read the announcement.

Both players showed strong individual performances over the last months, helping Virtus.pro reach 77th spot in the global Valve Regional Standings (VRS) – following a fourth-place finish at IZI WEX Season 1 earlier this month.

While neither have any experience competing at the highest tier, Virtus.pro have put trust into F0R3VER and AquaRS and their ability to perform and develop playing alongside VP’s experienced core.

“Dias and Alex showed strong performances as part of VP.Prodigy, demonstrating solid teamwork and individual skill. The club believes that working alongside an experienced captain will help the young players adapt to the main roster environment and fully unlock their potential.”

The new-look Virtus.pro roster are now undergoing an extended bootcamp in Serbia in preparation for tournaments in April. As of now, VP have no confirmed tournaments to attend in the coming weeks.
