Gen.G completed their run though League of Legends Champions Korea (LCK) Cup 2026 on Sunday, March 1, with a commanding 3-0 sweep of BNK FEARX in the grand final.
Gen.G cemented their status as Korea’s strongest LoL esports team by conceding only two games throughout the entire LCK Cup, marking one of their most dominant runs to domestic titles to date.
The reigning champions went undefeated in the group stage, and in the playoffs, they defeated Dplus KIA and BNK FEARX (twice), thus avoiding their arch-rivals, T1. Still, even without facing T1 in a best-of-five, Gen.G left no room for debate of who are LCK’s top dogs.
Gen.G entered the grand finals as firm favorites on the best LoL betting sites, and they did not need long to get the ball rolling.
Despite the promising performance from BNK FEARX against Dplus KIA in the lower bracket final, they found themselves on the back foot in the big game early on.
Gen.G needed just under 28 minutes to close out the first map, and 24 minutes to go 2-0 ahead. While the third and final map dragged out for longer, Gen.G were in full control, comfortably destroying FEARX’s Nexus before the 31st minute mark.
The statistics of the grand finals clearly indicate Gen.G’s dominance, as they managed 48 kills across the three maps, while BK FEARX managed just 15, nine of which came on map one.
While the whole roster stepped up on the day, Gen.G’s newest jungler, Kim “Canyon” Geon-bu, once more showed why he is considered one of the best jungler in history, and for his performance, he secured the Finals MVP.
By beating BNK FEARX, Gen.G have secured a direct invite to First Stand as LCK’s top seed. Despite the crushing loss, BKN FEARX have also been awarded a spot at the first international event as Korea’s second representative.
Gen.G and BNK FEARX now have just over two weeks to prepare for their trip to Sao Paulo, where they will join six other teams in the battle for the first international trophy of the season.
