OpTic Texas ended CDL Stage 1 with a silver medal, losing Major 1 grand finals against Paris Gentle Mates. Despite the painful ending, OpTic have emerged as one of the league’s strongest teams.
G2 Minnesota exceeded expectations in Major 1 by reaching the lower bracket semifinals. However, they’ve struggled against elite teams, which includes OpTic, who’ve beaten G2 twice this season.
Even though G2 Minnesota are not weak, they are rightly +200 underdogs on the best CoD betting sites. This is mainly because OpTic have proven very efficient in beating weaker opponents.
With a +62.5% win rate across all game modes, OpTic do not have many weaknesses. However, G2 Minnesota are very efficient on Search & Destroy, which should give them a chance to take a map. Anything more is unlikely.

FaZe Vegas placed third in CDL Major 1, following a close loss against Paris Gentle Mates in the lower bracket final. Toronto KOI, on the other side, exited the Major in the first round, with defeats against Paris Gentle Mates and Miami Heretics.
Toronto KOI have so far produced very middling results, albeit with decent win rates on Hardpoint (50%), Search & Destroy (55.6%), and Overload (66.7%). FaZe have an over 60% win rate across all game modes, but their map pool is lacking.
Despite appearing much better on paper, FaZe have also played many close games this season and are not nearly as efficient on Search & Destroy – Colossus and Den, as well as Overload – Den.
If Toronto KOI play around their strong map pool, this could turn out to be a competitive game.

After a terrible start to the CDL Stage 1 Qualifiers, Vancouver Surge bounced back with a seventh-eighth place finish in Major 1, where they defeated Carolina Royal Ravens.
They also produced a competitive game against the Miami Heretics in the lower bracket Round 2, but ended up short with 246-250 on Exposure – Hardpoint, 2-6 on Search & Destroy – Raid, and 3-4 on Overload – Scar.
The Los Angeles Thieves placed in the top six at the Major, albeit with only one victory against the Carolina Royal Ravens. The other two games, against Paris Gentle Mates and FaZe Vegas, ended in 0-3 sweeps.
Regardless of their disappointing performance at the Major, LA Thieves should not struggle against Vancouver Surge, who have managed just two victories this season and are notoriously weak in an online setting.
Anything less than a 3-0 sweep will be a major disappointment.
Prediction: Los Angeles Thieves -2.5 maps – $1.80 at GG.Bet
