MIBR rebuild VALORANT roster with Zekken, Mazino, and Tex

MIBR have announced their roster for the 2026 VALORANT Champions Tour (VCT) season, which features three big additions and reunites the former Leviatan core.

Joining MIBR’s lineup are Roberto “Mazino” Rivas, Zachary “zekken” Patrone, and Ian “tex” Botsch, who will link up with Eric “aspas” Santos and Andrew “Verno” Maust as the only two carryovers from 2025 alongside coach Daniel “fRoD” Montaner.

The arrival of the three players, namely tex and Mazino, sees MIBR reunite the former Leviatan core as the duo join aspas, with whom they won VCT 2024 Americas Stage 2 and placed third in the VALORANT Champions.

After the tournament, the trio went their separate ways.

Aspas joined MIBR, while Mazino signed for KRU Esports.

Tex, meanwhile, was the last one to leave Leviatan, staying with the South American team until September.

Since separating with aspas, tex and Mazino have struggled to find much success in their competitive endeavours.

Mazino’s most notable accomplishment with KRU Esports came early into the 2025 season, when he placed fourth in VCT Americas Kickoff.

On the other side, tex has not come close to a single VCT trophy, winning only one event – the Tixinha & Sacy Invitational in July.

Joining the ex-Leviatan trio is zekken, who has spent the last three years on Sentinels.

The VALORANT Masters Madrid 2024 MVP has had a bumpy road through the last season with Sentinels, consistently placing behind the region’s top dogs G2 Esports.

Besides claiming two VCT Americas silver medals, zekkenn and Sentinels struggled on the international stage, which led to roster changes before the 2026 season.

The trio replaces the recently departed Arthur “artzin” Araujo, Gabriel “cortezia” Cortez, and Eduardo “xenom” Soeiro, who has yet to find a new home for the upcoming season.

Artzin has already signed for FURIA at the start of the month, while cortezia joined Sentinels in November.

MIBR will debut their new roster in the VCT 2026 Americas Kickoff.

Since they have secured a direct invite to the upper bracket quarterfinals, they will play their first game on January 17, two days after the season starts.
