Fnatic has announced the departure of Mihael “Mikyx” Mehle, who leaves the European League of Legends team after a disappointing season.

Mikyx’s departure from the Black & Orange comes just days after Fnatic suffered an early elimination from the League of Legends World Championship 2025.

As revealed by the team, the decision to part ways was mutual, as Mikyx looks to explore new opportunities.

“Today we announce that we’re mutually parting ways with Mikyx as he sets out to explore new opportunities beyond the Black and Orange,” read the announcement.

Mikyx signed for Fnatic at the start of the year, joining what appeared to be a strong roster, capable of contesting the domestic title and beyond.

However, the most decorated support in (LEC)could not help Fnatic turn 2025 into a successful campaign and end the long title drought, which has lasted since Summer 2018.

Despite showing some signs of life, Fnatic failed to keep up with G2 Esports, Movistar KOI, and Karmine Corp. They had to settle for third, fourth, and third-place finishes across the three splits.

Regardless of the subpar run through the season, Fnatic still managed to qualify for LoL Worlds 2025 alongside G2 and Movistar KOI. This brief consultation, however, did not have a happy ending.

With three losses against CTBC Flying Oyster, Bilibili Gaming, and Movistzar KOI, Fnatic ended this year’s quest for the Summoner’s Cup in last, alongside PSG Talon.

Individually, Mikyx has been one of the best-performing players on Fnatic. However, as explained by head coach Fabian “GrabbZ” Lohmann, the roster struggled internally due to a lack of player motivation and disagreements, leading to the departure of mid laner Marek “Humanoid” Brazda earlier this season.

The Slovenian support is the first, but likely not the only player to be shown the door at Fnatic this offseason. This was hinted at by Fnatic’s Chief Growth Officer (CGO), Patrik “cArn” Sättermon, who said that Fnatic are open to exploring all possible options for next season.
